Attire | Raven is often seen in a black, or dark blue, leotard, with a dark blue cloak draped over it. Dark blue shoes and wrist cuffs matches her cloak. On the latch of the cloak, is a red jewel. A chain belt with the same red jewels rest peacefully on Raven's waist. And on top of each sleeved hand is the same red jewels used for her belt and latch of her cape.

When Raven is "White Raven", dressed in all white, this usually resembles her purification, or newfound happiness. These are the only situations Raven has wore her white attire.

When Raven is in all red, she is considered demonic Raven. This is one of Raven's demonic forms, representing Trigon's essence in her, and her anger. Raven only becomes 'Demonic Raven' when she is highly upset.

Raven has light grey skin, and a small red jewel in the middle of her forehead known as a Chakra that helps her to control the darker passions of her soul-self.

Overall Personality | Raven is mostly a loner and seen as gothic. She doesn't mix often with her teammates, still remaining a bit of a mystery to them. She often pulls back in her own room where no one is allowed. She is straightforward, moody, sarcastic, and has a dry sense of humor. Despite this, she shows signs that she cares very much for her friends.

Empathy

Empathy: psionic ability of empathy, the power to absorb emotions, enabling her to feel the feelings of others.

Emotion Negation: She can also use her empathy to steal emotions from others, rendering them emotionally "numb".

Empathic Healing: She can absorb the pain of injured people to ease their suffering, and induce rapid healing.



Soul-Self

Soul-Self: Raven can manifest her "Soul-Self" through astral projection. It normally takes the form of either her human shape or a giant raven.

Astral Projection: Through the use of her soul-self, Raven can project her consciousness into the mind, for therapeutic purposes (to aid in her own meditation, or to help calm an agitated ally), or for offensive attacks, rendering her enemies unconscious.

Soul-Self Metamorphosis: When Raven is highly upset, her soul-self can also transform her body's appearance to a variety of demonic forms and sizes. Worst of all, when she can't control her anger, she transforms into a demonic Raven, usually with four glowing, red eyes and sprouting black tentacles from under her cloak.

Teleportation: It also serves as a way to travel into other dimensions. Using her soul-self, she can teleport herself and others over vast distances.

Psychokinesis
In addition to an affinity for magic and spell casting, Raven possesses powerful psychokinetic abilities which manifest in the form of Dark Energy, serving as her primary means of attack and defense. She can use her abilities to levitate objects (and also herself), project concussive blasts, and form simple shapes like grappling hands and razor sharp plates to use as barriers and/or restricting binds. Raven can use her Dark Energy to create portals to phase through solid barriers like floors and wall.

Mantra
Raven often says the phrase "Azarath Metrion Zinthos" to help her focus her powers. She even uses this as her attack phrase as well. These words are her mantra.
She sometimes uses the mantra to aid her in her daily meditations, which she performs to keep her emotions in check so they do not clash with her conscious self control.

History | When Angela Roth ran away from home, she sought out the occult...and found it. Offering herself up in ritual as the bride of Satan, she allowed herself to be taken by the man who appeared. Only afterward did he reveal his true, demonic appearance. Horrified at what she had done, what had happened to her, and fearful of the demon’s child she carried, she was on the brink of suicide when she was found and taken to Azarath, a dimension to which a community of pacifists had fled from Earth to live in peace. There she took the name Arella.
And so Raven, daughter of human and demon, was raised by Azar and her followers, taught pacifism, taught to control her demon heritage. She learned to heal by absorbing others’ pain, and she learned to project her soul out of her body for short periods of time. And she learned to suppress her emotions, for any strong feelings could awaken the evil within her.

While she lived in Azarath, Raven had two siblings: Vincent Roth & Sparrow Roth. Within this period, Raven had very little time with her sister, Sparrow. Mysteriously, Sparrow died of an incurable illness, making Raven very depressed. Arella, unable to handle her daughter's pain that she went through for so long and wanting to protect her, sent Raven to Earth, away from Azarath, in hopes of protecting Raven from her destined fate.

After coming to Earth, and discovering the Titans, Raven joined them, in hopes of being good, so, hopefully, the prophecy wouldn't be fulfilled. But, truthfully, Raven always knew in her heart that it was inevitable, as there was nothing stop her fate. She was to become a portal on her 18th birthday, allowing Trigon to come to and destroy Earth, blanketing it in darkness, lava, and ruins, while the citizens turned to stone.

A year later, on her birthday, Slade was resurrected by Trigon, and sent the 'message' to Raven. Her fate had come true, and Raven, wanting to protect her friends, created a dark barrier around them, which disappeared after the portal was opened, and gave each of them a part of her powers. The Teen Titans then tried many things to try and defeat Trigon, but nothing helped. Meanwhile, Raven was turned into a child version of herself. Robin found her in a cave above lava and rock, and brought her back to the city.

But after seeing her friends stand up to her father, and not give up, Raven realized that she could change things. She grew from her childish form, to her regular form, and defeated her father single-handedly, sending him back to the Demon World. The city returned to it's former glory, and it's citizens continued their daily lives.

After his defeat, Raven opened up a bit more to her friends, now seeming less mysterious and enigmatic. They became more like a family, and Raven felt like she belonged. Together, they faced the Brotherhood of Evil, defeating them.

Raven's chronology is separated into three lives; her first life, 20 years, was spent in the Temple Azarath. Her second life began once she started wearing the garb of White Raven, and lasted under two years. Her third life, her current life. Unlike the transition between her first and second lives, with her third life came a new body, that of a 17-year-old.

Now, with most of her past behind her, Raven and her friends, the Teen Titans, fight alongside each other, standing against the many criminals and villains within Jump City.

Sample RP | The sun slanted brightly through the open curtains, illuminating the entire room in its blinding glow. The figure upon the bed groaned and threw the covers over her head, muttering a few words about being disturbed. After a few minutes, Raven sat up, sighing softly and realizing that she would not be able to fall back to sleep.

A new day has began, her inner voice chimed.

"Big deal," she muttered in return, as she slipped off the long nightshirt, and padded acoss the room to her bathroom. She almost smiled as she remember the convincing it had taken for her to have her own. But after surrounding the other in dark energy for a week, the rest had finally given in. She stepped into the warm water, and began her morning ritual.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos."

It was barely whispered as she calmed herself, and readied herself for the day. She would ignore it all. She would not respond. She would not lose it. After several moments, and a deep cleaning, she felt ready, and so stepped out from the shower. Barely sparing herself a glance in the mirror, she slipped into her leotard, threw on the cloak, and fastened her chain. Now, she turned her full attention to the mirror. She shrugged. As good as it would get.

She squared her shoulders, took a deep breath, and opened the door. As she stepped into the hall, she was greeted with serene silence. She must have been the only one up. That was nothing new, but very surprising as late in the morning as it was. She drifted down the stairs -- not feeling the need to walk -- and across the living room. The place was deathy still as if no one were around. As if the world and all time had stopped, though, that was not the case. She expected Starfire in the least.

Then, the thought came to her -- perhaps they were out. But, without her? Usually they would let her know or invite her. It almost hurt a little that they hadn't thought to invite her. But she came to an abrupt halt once she entered the kitchen.

It was all wrong.

Clean, spottless, emaculate. Just as she and Starfire had left it the night before. The boys hadn't been in it. Not this morning. And the boys were in it every morning.

She whipped around, before phasing through the ceiling. She was determined to find out what was going on. After searching all the rooms, it was apparent that the place was deserted. But, why?
