As Kasumi landed on the dry dirt in her dimension, she looked around and sighed. Hasn't changed much, the barriers around it still looks like hell.. On thing they were too lazy too fix. Stupid old geezer.. She looked ahead and began to walk, kicking some rocks on the way. How will they react? Run and scream? Yell and throw things at me? Threaten and try to kill me? Hmph.. How will..Dad react..? Will he be happy, or scared for me? Upset that I had returned? How is he doing anyway? He hasn't even tried to contact me, but then I suppose he'd get in trouble if he did. It's been pretty much five years since I've been here.. Five years since mom died...
As Kasumi reached the edge of where she used to live, she just viewed it. The people that were out and about stopped what they were doing, some even dropped their items. Just as predicted, some glared and some screamed of fear. She looked down sadly and made no movement to go any further. It wasn't long before the Elders guards showed up along with him, demanding an explanation of what was going on. No one said a word, but looked and pointed as Kasumi. Even they fell silent and stared. She rubbed her arm and only looked up as the elder stepped forward. "Long time no see, Elder.." She said quietly. "You were banned, forbidden to to return!" He told her. "I am aware of that, Sir.." "So why have you returned?!" "I wish to see my father." That's when things really did go quiet. Even the slight gust of wind that was blowing stopped. The Elder sighed, which was the only sound that was heard. "Tr- I mean, Kasumi, your father..he..h-" She wore a worried look on her face. "He what?" "He was killed a week ago or so. He died in a little fight we had with another army." Her eyes widened, but then were filled with rage.
"He..He's dead?! And you didn't come and tell me?!" Kasumi told him loudly. "You were banned long ago, we had no way of-" "This is your excuse?! This is my FATHER we're talking about! You should've came and found me, I had every right to know you bastard! You've always been lik-" Suddenly spears were raised and pointed at her throat from the Elders guards. "Enough!" Yelled one of the guards. The Elder waved for them to lower the spears, but she had already grabbed and snapped one, beginning to fight the others. "Stop!" Shouted the elder as the stood still and he walked towards her holding out an envelope. "He left this behind and it is addressed to you. Take it and leave, do not come back ever again." She turned her glare down towards the envelope and snatched it from him, soon taking off.
Kasumi ran as fast as she could, which was pretty fast, as tears flew out of her eyes. He's dead! He's dead! He's dead! Dad, how could you die on me, how could you leave me?! Dammit, now it's you and mom! Why didn't you contact me or come with me?! Was the clan more important to you than me or was the fact that mom died there keeping you bound there?! She continued to yell and asked questions repeatedly in her head as she went back to Earth. Running up a hill to get to Jump, she ran up a hill and planned to stop, but tripped on a rock and tumbled down, getting multiple scratches and maybe some bruises. When she stopped, she just laid there on the ground and just continued to cry as it began to ran. She got soaked within seconds, but the letter she had was under her so it stayed dry.

Kevin was wandering around aimlessly with his hands in his pockets when he stumbled upon a girl stumbling down a hill. He was about to rush over to help her but it started to rain which for some reason stopped him in his tracks. He held his hand out as if to confirm it was raining, and it was, and very badly at that. He looked back over at the girl to see if she was still on the ground, which she was. He felt bad, so he rushed over to her like he had planned to before.
"Hey, are you okay? Come on, we should get out of the rain!" He said to her as he bent down and lended her his hand. He giggled and gave her the friendliest smile he could muster. Was she crying? Crap. He hated when people cried, especially girls. He knew he had to help her, that's why he was there when he was. Even though he didn't know it before.

Kasumi just continued to lay there as tears streamed out of her eyes endlessly. She didn't care who or what was there or watching, she just wanted to lye there. Of course, wishing her father was back. Slowly, her sorrow turned to anger. That stupid old.. Why didn't he come and find me, jackass! Who cares if I was banned, I had a right to know and to defend my home! I could've helped, I maybe could've even....saved him.. Ugh! If I cold I would rip out that old man's throat! With that, she lifted her hand, which was a tight fist and slammed it hard on the ground, ignoring the water splashing on her. Her feelings changed back to sorrow. I couldn't have done that, my father would never have approved of it, it's not what he would want at all and neither would mom.. It's not the old man's fault, it's that damn army's fault! If I knew who it was, I swear I'd hunt them down and-
"Hey, are you okay? Come on, we should get out of the rain!"[/u]
Hearing the unfamiliar voice, Kasumi looked up to see a boy lending out a hand with a friendly smile. He then also laughed a bit. She didn't understand this, what was so funny? She stared at his hand for a bit and wasn't sure whether to take it or not. I'm soaked as it is, so what would be the point? I am cold though.. Thinking for a minute or two, she just covered her eyes with her hair, biting the tears back, not wanting a stranger to see her cry. "Where is there to go? I mean, we are outside the barriers of Jump, it could take us awhile to get back.." She told him quietly, but yet she stood up and clutched the letter from her father to keep it dry, beginning to walk.

It was confirmed, this girl was definitely crying. His face contorted into one of worry, he wondered what could possibly be ailing her and if there was anything he could do to help. He stared down at the girl, wondering if she even noticed his presence yet. He would wait for her to calm down a bit before he spoke again.
"Where is there to go? I mean, we are outside the barriers of Jump, it could take us awhile to get back.."
Well, his time to speak came sooner than he expected. He stood back up to his full height when she didn't take his offered hand. He smirked, knowing such a distance was nothing to him if he ran full speed. But to show a random girl his powers? Was he willing to do it? Coldn't hurt, besides, he'd be helping her get out of the rain. That's considering if she even accepted his help that is. "You're right, it would take a while to get back.... Considering we travel at a normal pace that is." He said shrugging. "If you let me, I can get us back in no time!" He stated grinning, pointing to himself with his thumb. If there was one thing he prided himself on, it was his speed. He hoped she'd trust him enough to get her out of the cold rain.

Kasumi continued to walk on, barely even realizing the boy there. Really, she was looking at the letter, which she was shielding from the rain using her sun power. What could father possibly have written? Was there something he wanted me to do? A death wish, perhaps?Maybe a letter that was never sent.. Maybe it'll explain why he never came to find me or why he didn't leave with me even though I was only about ten. Was he forbidden to? Now that I think about it, why didn't he? I was ten for God's sake! I could've easily been killed!! What is his problem, he's always been like that!! The angrier she got, the more trees she walked past caught fire. She didn't even notice, so many trees began to catch fire. Was home more important than me or was he afraid, that stupid coward!! "He was killed a week ago or so. He died in a little fight we had with another army." She stopped in her tracks and looked down. He died in a battle, as a warrior, how can I call I'm a coward...? What kind of daughter am I..? I'm horrible!! She began to break down again, her eyes flooding with tears as she wrapped her arms around herself and fell to her knees.
"You're right, it would take a while to get back.... Considering we travel at a normal pace that is. If you let me, I can get us back in no time!"[/u]
Kasumi jumped and gasped a bit, remembering that he was there now. When did he get here beside me? The boy pointed to himself and seemed proud, but she just sat there and looked at him. Looking away, she stood up and went back to walking, but was slower than she was a minute or go. "No thanks, I'd rather take my time..." She wondered how he would get them back, but didn't bother asking. It wouldn't be a surprise if he had powers. Nowadays you could run into any random person and the possibility of them having powers is pretty high.

Kevin couldn't help but notice, he was being ignored. Either she didn't want to be bothered with him, or she had something really heavy on her mind. He also noted that she was looking at something, something obviously important as she tried to keep it from getting wet in the rain. Which in weather like this, was a task in itself. He sighed, trying to figure out if forcing his help on her was the best thing to do, sometimes people just wanted to be alone.
As if to justify his last thought, the girl fell to her knees, he assumed she was crying again. 'What could possibly be troubling her this much?' He thought, a concerned expression crossing his face. "Are you sure? You might catch a cold walking all the way back to town in this kinda weather...." He tilted his head, wondering and hoping she might change her mind.

Kasumi walked down the street, still. I'd open it, but I don't want it to get wet and for the ink to get smeared.. What did father write anyway? Wat is there to say? Why he didn't come with me when I needed him?! How would he even know if I was alive? I could've died a long time ago for all he knows, so it'd just be a waste of time. You were always spacey, dad.. Especially around mom. Well, she always was the one you loved most, so why wouldn't you? I guess that is why you stayed.. Mom died there, you felt bound.. That just proves I was never as important as mom was.. She sighed, then began to cough a bit.
"Are you sure? You might catch a cold walking all the way back to town in this kinda weather...."[/u]
Kasumi looked over at the boy who had his head tilted. It might be a little late for me not to catch a cold..[/]i She sniffed a bit. "If.. It floats your boat, then fine." She told him quietly, but didn't bother to stop, she just continued to walk at the same pace. The weather never bothered her, she's had worse, she just didn't like being sick, but right now she didn't care. Hell, someone could come up and beat the crap out of her right now and she wouldn't care. Depression changes her quite a bit.. Wow, I feel heartless now, I didn't cry this much when mom died.. Then again, I had dad and everyone else to worry about then. Still..

Kevin stopped walking and gave a confused expression. Either she was really upset, or she reaaally didn't wanna be bothered with him right now. He sighed, wanting to leave her alone but couldn't in good conscience. "Uh.... Alright I guess." He said starting back up walking. Instead of catching up to her, he walked behind her, wondering if what he was about to do was the right thing to do. 'Of course it is..... The faster I get her to a shelter the faster I can get out of her hair!' He reasoned with himself.
After nodding in agreement with his own plan, he bent down and scooped her up into his arms. "Sorry about this." He apologized, quickening his pace. "Hang on." He warned as his speed began to increase. He accelerated quickly, moving from about 3 to 105 MPH in a heartbeat. He dashed towards the city, still accelerating, moving at speeds far faster than a car could ever hope to achieve.
He came to a skidding halt infront of a store that had closed down. Why he stopped there? He didn't know. It was the first place he saw so he decided to make it his stop. He kicked open the door gently and walked her inside, gently placing her down on her feet. "Alright, made it to safety... I'll just leave you alone now." He said smiling at her softly as he turned to head back into the rain.

Kasumi continued walking, now getting even colder than she was and the fact that her eyes were teary weren't helping, since now she couldn't see well. Her feet began to get heavy as well, partly because she was tired to begin with, because of the rain, and because she was upset. She didn't even hear the boy behind her speak. Too focused on the sounds of the rain, trying to get over the death of her parent. C'mon, this isn't fair! I didn't cry this much when mom died, so suck it up and get over it She took one of her arms and began to wipe her eyes, trying to get rid of the tears that just kept piling.
Kasumi's eyes popped open though when he picked her up. He then apologized, and she couldn't think of anything to say. He told her to hang on, and at first she didn't heed his warning, until he began to go 105 mph. She then wrapped her arms tightly around him, fearing of falling off. Holy crap!! I can go fast, but not this fast!! This is just scary!! He better not let me go! He continued to go faster, and she continued to hold him tighter. This is like being in one of car things that I see on the street all the time!! I am never riding one of those if it's like this!!
Kasumi screeched quietly as he came to a halt. Skidding as well. Looking at where they stopped, she saw it was a rundown building. Better than nothing. She jumped slightly as he kicked the door down, then let her down. He told her they made it to safety, smiled, and then began to leave. Setting the letter down, she jumped up and ran after him, grabbing onto his shirt as more tears appeared. Making her bangs cover her eyes, she let go and put her head down a bit. "Please... Please don't leave.. I don't want to be alone right now.." I'm being selfish.. "I mean, um, well, leave, if you want.. Everyone else seems to leave me.." She mumbled the last part, but placed her head in her hands as she silently cried.

Kevin couldn't help but grin and chuckle when Kasumi didn't take his warning to hold on at first. "Told ya." As her grip tightened he almost felt like she was trying to choke him, but he knew she was just frightened at the speed they were traveling, and he couldn't blame her. He had to get her out of the rain quickly, or he wouldn't be able to live wit himself if she caught the flu or pneumonia. After they stopped he wondered if she would be alright on her own, but figured she could handle herself now.
He stopped dead in his tracks as she grabbed his shirt and begged him not to leave. He was quite surprised, he thought she wanted to be alone. He turned back around with a smile on his face. "I won't leave you, don't worry about it. I actually thought you wanted to be alone is all." He stated reassuringly, placing his hand on her back as she placed her head in her hands. "So, you want to tell me what's wrong?" He asked rubbing her back.

Kasumi was too frightened to hear him say "told ya'". She was much more focused on flying off. She tried to close her eyes, but she didn't want to at the same time. She was tied between looking, and not looking.. She wasn't sure which one would be better. Her heart was racing fast enough was it was, and she wasn't intelligent in medicine and body functions and whatnot. So, didn't know if it would make her heart rate faster and she didn't want it to explode or something like that. This was truly terrifying her though, but also thought it was fun. Adrenaline is one of the worst, yet best addictions.
Kasumi was relieved when the man stopped. She really didn't want to be alone. Even if it was a rat to keep her company she'd be glad! She listened to the guy's words and nodded. "At first I did, but now, I don't really want to be.." She said as she sniffed a bit. Her eyes watered again, but she wiped them before they fell as he spoke again, asking her if she wanted to tell him what was wrong and rubbed her back. "My...My father.. He.. He died.. Well, more like killed..." She told him quietly. She then turned around and walked inside the building. She picked up the letter and walked back outside to the guy, placing the sun shield around the envelope. "This is what he left behind for me, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle reading it.."
