His dark brown eyes were glued on the clock in the classroom, watching as the second had spun around and around. Minutes passed and then the bell rang out. Kari quickly shot up from his desk and moved his way through the crowd. He didn't like being around people lately. His mind was for the most part blank, except the thought of the cigarettes he had in his locker, although he couldn't get away with having one until after school so he sighed and shook the idea out of his head.
His mind was buzzing around from lack of nicotine and he glared down the hall at his locker, watching as it got closer and closer. He grumbled as he tried in vain to push the though of smoking out of his mind, although it just caused him to start to have a headache.
He grunted as a sharp twang of pain went through his head and he closed his eyes. When he looked back up his eyes were blue, but he didn't know this. There was a kind of hissing noise coming down from the other end of the hall. He shook his head as he wondered what it could be. His powers were causing a buildup of gas in his locker, he continued walking forward eventually a little ways from the metal box and then something happened.
There was a loud bang, the gasses that had built up in his locker from his powers caused them to expand outward in a rapid explosion and sending his locker door flying forward and into the wall. Kari ducked quickly and looked around, a crowd of people looking around for what happened.

Kevin sat in class, paying heavy attention to what the teacher was saying. Although Precalculus wasn't his favorite subject, he knew he needed math in order to get into a good college, which is all his mother ever wanted him to do. He paid no attention to the other students around him talking and slacking off and continued jotting down his notes over the problems that were being gone over on the board infront of the class.
Before he knew it, the bell signaling the switch in classes had rang. He quickly packed up his notebook and other things and headed out towards his own locker. Before he could reach it however, he heard a loud bang, like a gunshot went off somewhere further down the hall. He shifted his gaze to the scene to see a locker door crashing into the wall. He ran down to check the damage and make sure no one was hurt.
He made it to the locker fairly quickly, being pretty skilled at manuevering through crowds of people. He saw a young man crouched down and glancing around, no doubt having just dodged an exploding locker door. "You alright? What happened here?" He asked extending his hand to help the stranger up, all the while wearing a friendly smile.

Kari looked around stunned, the crowd gathering was beginning to freak him out a little and he gridded his teeth. He tried to weave his way into the crowd to just disappear from the situation as best as he could, soon people would find out it was his locker. But they had no way to prove he had made it explode. He figured the best thing to do would just to make his way out of the area, and he wanted to do it as quickly as possible. Although half way on his trip toward the nearest door he heard someone try to say something, to the crowd, everyone asking questions about what had happened, he only half heard it as it rang thorough his ear.
He panicked a little thinking that he had noticed someone over by his locker. He shook his head and bit his lip, frustrated with the idea that he might have had hurt someone. He wanted to hit something, he was frustrated and confused as he wanted to run down the hall, trying to ignore the crowd. Slowly his eyes returned to their normal color as he though about just leaving the school right now, he always knew he had powers, yet he denied anyone who asked. And he really didn't need the pressure of being dragged into the principal's office to be asked about why his locker blew up.
Suddenly he snapped out of his inner monologue to find someone trying to help him up. Kari looked at the guy rather stunned and quickly looked away trying to act like he didn't know. "What are you talking about?" He didn't want to say anything about him having powers, or the fact that it was his locker. The less information he could give out, the easier it would be for him to get out of his situation.

The smile on his face faded as the teen turned away from him. He stood back up and straightened up. "I'm referring to the locker blown to bits and you on the ground. Are you alright?" He said still with a friendly tone to his voice. He wondered what could possibly be this guy's problem. Was he the one who started it or something and he doesn't want to admit it? Or maybe he hit his head pretty hard trying to dodge and got amnesia or something. Most likely it would be the former, if even that.
"So you didn't see what happened?" He asked looking around at the crowd. Surely since he was in the middle he had to know something about what just transpired moments before Kevin's arrival. He looked back to the boy on the ground, awaiting a response.

Kari quickly got up off the floor before more people tried to flock around and ask him questions. He was happy that he wasn't hit by the locker, after all that would just have made things even worse. Although it was obvious the man was going to ask him a question about his locker, although he wasn't going to say it was his.
Kari's mind was buzzing with ideas of what to do, ways to get out of this. But first he had to respond to the man. "Yeah sure.. Just fine." His voice was a little shaky as he was obviously nervous, but more like he was hiding something.
He heard some noise down the hall as the principal started on his way over to see what had happened. Kari jumped slightly and looked at the man. "Well I should go.." He gave a sort of half smile as he looked at the man and turned to leave.
Although things just kept going from bad to worse as he tried to walk away, slowly a trail of smoke started to drift up from his mouth. It wasn't obvious or a large stream, but just enough to be noticed if someone was close enough or smelt it.

Kevin could easily tell the young man was nervous about something. But what would he have to be on edge about? Unless of course he was the cause of this whole scene, but then the question would be how did he do it? Did he set an explosive device inside someone's locker whom he didn't like and it went off sooner than he expected? A lot of questions ran into his mind in a small amount of time. "You sure?"
Kevin turned to see what had startled him so suddenly, seeing the principal making his way towards the locker they were standing at. Knowing he hadn't done anything wrong, but not wanting to get in trouble for standing around, he nodded at the young man before him. "Good idea...." He said about to turn his own seperate way, but he smelled something strange. If he wasn't part alien, his nose most likely wouldn't have noticed it, but it was and he did. He turned back around to see a small trail or smoke coming from his face. He quickly caught up to him. "Are you smoking in the halls?" He just had to know out of curiousity.

Kari by this point had made his way out of the crowd and was already hoping on a easy way out of the school and away from blame. Although he found himself interrupted after a moment, by the same guy as before. "No I'm not so go away!" Although it wasn't very convincing as the smoke still continued to stream out as he spoke.
He gasped, as he now realized what was happening and he looked over to see a empty classroom. He looked over at the crowd and then grabbed the guy's arm and dragged him in to the class. As soon as he was inside he let the guy go and closed the door. "Listen I umm... Yes.. was smoking ok....." His voice was shaky, after all he knew he was telling a flat out lie, not to mention that he had just denied the man a few seconds before.

Kevin was startled at how brash the man had suddenly gotten, but then again, had he been asked a series of questions and wanted to be left alone he probably would've acted the same. He raised an eyebrow, noticing the smoke still leaving his mouth, though he saw no cigerette (sp?) or anything thing else that would make smoke.
He started to turn and head in his own direction, but was once again startled as he was grabbed and dragged into an empty classroom. "You were?" He asked, wanting to believe the stranger but he had already noticed before he didn't have anything in his mouth, plus when would he have had the time to light something while he was looking right at him? "What were you smoking? I didn't see anything in your mouth at all." He said, not trying to be rude, just wanting to know the truth.

Kari looked the guy dead in the eye and grumbled, he was quite dense. Although he didn't know why this guy asked so many questions, but the fact that he did was getting on Kari's nerves. He took a step back and rubbed his forehead softly before looking back at the guy. Kari needed a cigarette, the lack of nicotine had already caused his powers to go out of wack once already.
Walking over to the door he locked it and headed over to the opposite end of the class, opening the window. He turned back toward the guy and sighed. "Listen.. can you keep a secret?" He asked as he pulled a cigarette out and waved it, hinting that he wanted to know if the guy would say anything if he were to smoke it. After a moment of waiting for the guy's reply he shrugged and lit the cigarette outside the window, leaning his head out to smoke.
Sure the guy could walk out of the classroom and tell a teacher, but at this point he didn't really care.

Kevin could tell he was starting to be annoying, so he decided to just keep his mouth closed and let the other boy speak if he wanted to. He turned to him as he went over to the window and produced a cigarette. He nodded his head, signifying he could keep a secret and would refrain from snitching. Though he didn't exactly approve of smoking himself, didn't mean he would purposefully get others in trouble for it. He sighed and found himself a chair to sit in, setting his book bag down beside him, waiting patiently in silence for his company to finish smoking.
