Family Reunion...well sorta (Robin and Starfire)

Michael had just moved into one of the spare rooms after meeting his mom in this time as he was un packing the stuff he had this time seemed so peaceful so it was hard for him to belive that this town if slade was not stoped would become a living nightmare it was just so much to take in. Michael sighed and let out a burp from the berries his mother gave him and covered his mouth he looked around and saw no one had heard he sighed with relif his mothers berries weither it be at his time or here made him burp.

"Danm mom what do you put in those berries anyways" Michael wondered to himself and shook his head as he finished un packing his stuff he looked around it almost felt like home but it just wasnt he knew that but even if he would be staying in this time for a while he was glad that his parents where alive in this time. Michael sighed and layed down on the bed and looked at the cealing. he couldnt belive the hell that went down in his time. He took out the locket containg the only picture he had left of his parents during his time as a small tear escaped his eyes he wiped it out.

"Danm you slade danm you to hell" Michael said to himself he hated slade more than any of the other enemies the titans had faced in the past. next thing Michael knew he sent a starbolt flying out the window he sighed and looked to see it caused not danamge. Michael muttered to himself. "i really got to keep that under control" As Michael said that there was a knock at the door Michael wondered who would be visiting at this time.

Michael sat up on his bed as he put his locket back in his shirt before speaking. "Come in" Michael said leting them know it was ok for the person to come in.

Starfire walked through the halls with Robin towards a bedroom being occupied by someone she wanted him to meet. It was Michael, their son eighteen years in the future. Of course, she didn't tell him who they were meeting, she wanted it to be a surprise. She began to wonder how both of them will react. Michael would probably be happy to see Robin still alive and well.

"We must hurry, I am anxious for you to meet him!" Starfire said as she smiled at Robin and walked a bit ahead. She began to twirl a bit as well as they continued. She was happy enough to even find Robin. Since he had been gone in Australia, she didn't know where she would b able to find him now that he was back, but managed to find him in the Medicine room working on some device. After their greeting, she managed to get Robin to come with her to meet Michael.

Standing outside, the door, Starfire looked at Robin, sort of expectantly. "Are you ready?" Before she even got an answer, she knocked on the door. A few seconds later, she heard Michael call out "come in." Opening the door she walked inside and waited for Robin to do the same.

Star was easily excited over the smallest things, one time it only took a 60 watt light bulb to change her dark world into one of brightness. So whatever this was he assumed it was going to be quite simple. Still it was important to keep a open mind about these kinds of things, maybe Silkie learned a new trick and she wanted to show it off? There was never any real way to know in advance when Starfire was the one doing the introduction. Robin didn't like the idea of calling her flaky so it was just easier to think of it as Starfires own way of... being Starfire. Actually he needed to get her real name down if he was going to ever make a relationship last. How was it pronounced again, Korian'dr... something like that. Maybe just saying Kori would be a whole lot less complicated. Every language had their own unique rules to how something was pronounced anyway. Didn't really even know if Tamaranian's had last names, if they did... it'd only make for another complicated word to say. Maybe he could get lucky and it be like, Koriander Of Tamaran. Sometimes kings and royalty had the planets name as their own last one.

"Him, as in a guy... you met while I was away?" Don't get jealous, don't get jealous! Why the heck not? Some dude was moving in on his territory playing off Starfires naive nature to try and win her over. There was some badass villain waiting on the other side of that door who was going to challenge him for Starfires heart or something. Maybe a rogue tamaranian who though that some earth boy was unworthy of their princess? Damn it, Tamaranians were hard to fight; what with the flying and the starbolts and the...lots and lots of strength. Hell first time he met one she tried to crush his body with a chevy... which was al a crap car like that was good for anyway. But that was beside the point, he wasn't up to this fight to the death stuff today. Just got back from a major mission , this was not going to turn out to be a good day at all. Practically getting dragged along Robin was released at the door standing toe to toe with some... older looking guy? Not by much but still, he looked kind of dangerous. Despite that feeling Robin tried his best to play this off the safe way. "Uh hi, I'm Robin the... leader of the Teen Titans." What was that title supposed to scare him not into fighting or something? Maybe if he lost the uh's and um's it might come off as just a little more intimidating.

There was something off about all this though, this guy had a sense of familiarity about him, but heck if he could remember from where. Just looking at him seemed to suggest someone that could fight, though didn't look like he was ready to pounce Robin at a seconds notice either. Advanced a few steps forward extending out his hand so they could shake, but anyone with any kind of martial arts experience could tell he was completely alert and weight was shifted ready to react if the situation called for it.

Michael stood up as his parents came in. He looked he couldnt belive it both of them where still alive oh man what a day this was starting out to be and that was for danm sure. he was having trouble keeping his tears in as he looked he couldn't help after what he had been though it was just to much. A few tears came down his cheek but not of pain but more of joy he just couldnt belive it he thought his parents where dead in this time and thought they where both dead but they where alive.

"Mom...Dad your both alive.." Michael said as he wiped the tears from his eyes smileing it was just joy in his heart had been restored after 10 years of pure pain. pure suffering it was returning his heart was being healed. Michael looked at the two as he looked up for min closing his eyes. if there was a god he was thanking him for leting this come true. He waited for his parents reply his father was probly going have alot to take in sence he was from the future and everything so he would understand if his father took this as a shock.

"Him, as in a guy... you met while I was away?"[/u]

Starfire nodded and smiled, not understanding the true meaning of the question. "I had met him when you were in Europe and I wanted to introduce you two sooner, but I could not. But now I can since you have returned!" She said, giggling a bit afterward.

"Uh hi, I'm Robin the... leader of the Teen Titans."[/u]

"Um, He already knows who you are.." Starfire whispered, pointing at Michael. Tears then began to overflow from Michael's eye and he wiped them away, saying they were alive. "We are alive and well, both of us. As well as the other Titans." She was reassuring Michael so he would no longer shed tears, but it was almost somewhat a lie. She was not sure about Cyborg, but had a feeling he was okay. She then looked at Robin and waited for his response.

Did... he just say... Dad? Quickly shot a look back to Starfire, there wasn't really any words he could come up with right now. Words had a way of causing multiple reactions with Robin, each one ran through his mind with percentages. There was a lot of questions that followed each possible answer. Was this some crazy guy? No Starfire wouldn't of accepted his word for it, there might of been a blood test of some kind; but shape-shifters could copy blood too. Was this some homunculus created by Slade? Dick just couldn't accept any of this at face value, there was always a deeper meaning behind everything and this probably wasn't any different. One thing was certain though, if this was truly their kid then he wasn't from this time plane. Damn it all, Robin wasn't the type to not teach his kid about the dangers of messing with time, dimensions or reality which might lead him to believe that this wasn't who he claimed to be... or maybe it was just a possible future? Wait, if there's a kid that meant that he... he and...Starfire...

"Uh..." For whatever reason he felt the need to look the Tamaranian girl up and down. They were going to, to... Taking a deep breath he tried to calm himself down putting one hand over his chest, not smart to think about that with their kid in the room. Hell already getting fatherly protective of what this guy saw. Finally getting his eyes back on the boy himself, the physical blending of his own and Starfires look was quite apparent. It wasn't like Dick was about to just accept all this as fact, but there was evidence to support this being reality. Still knowing that he and Starfire were going to... interact physically; wasn't anyone worried that both Robin and Starfire knowing that was supposed to happen might change the date of conception and bring about a different child entirely? Or no child at all cause of... biology and.. uh... This was something quite uncomfortable to think about. Hell he was only 16 after all, this was all a lot to take in. " Look I don't want to offend anyone here, but do you mind if we actually got some proof of all this before you explain why you're here in this time?"

Michael looked at his father with confused look he saw he was really having a hard time taking all this in but than again who could blame him alot of things had happened to his father during this time so he accpected as much Michael of course was still waiting for a reply from his father his mother he had already gotten a reply from. his father was taking a hell of alot longer to reply but than again his mother had tooken a while to take this in he finaly saw his father geting ready to reply to him phew took quicker than he thought.

Look I don't want to offend anyone here, but do you mind if we actually got some proof of all this before you explain why you're here in this time?

Michael nodded as he took out the locket he had around his neck and opened it up revealing a pic of Michael and his mother in and father in the park for a little what they call family outing before slades attack he handed it and placed it in robin's hand before begining to speak to the young man he seemed only 18 in this time but than again Michael did come from 18 years in the future so it was to be expected as much he sighed a little before speaking to his father who he was glad he was alive in this time.

"this is the last picture of us together as a family i have before slade made his attack on the city during my time" Michael explained to robin as went over and got his camera that was in the form of a spider Michael placed it on his bed as he pulled down the projecter he added to his room when moving in. "When your ready dad let me know and i,l show you what happened in my time" Michael told him and waited for his father's reply. as he smiled at both his parents it was still alot to take in he knew.

Starfire stood off to the side with her hands folded behind her back, looking back and forth between Michael and Robin. There really was a somewhat resemblance between them, not to mention they both had an obsession with stopping Slade. She didn't know what that was like since Slade had never been with her face to face and came after her directly, and wasn't sure if she wanted to find out. Cyborg and her were the only ones Slade had not come after and she was glad to not be the only one, but wanted to understand what Robin, Raven and Beast Boy felt as well, yet, she was somewhat afraid to.

Starfire looked at Robin confused as he looked at her and then put a hand over his chest. "You are, in pain? Should we go back to the medicine room and examine you?" It was in her nature to worry about others and she really didn't understand Robin's reaction. Perhaps this is all too much for him too handle..?

We..? "Robin, I already know that he is our son, I have seen it... Is the resemblance between you two not as obvious as I thought? Not to mention you both really want to bring Slade down." Starfire explained as she brought her hands forward. She looked over as Michael nodded and pulled out a locket and opened it up to reveal a picture of all three of them together in the park. Her eyes saddened at this. Her sad eyes then went up to meet Michael's. "You, keep a photograph with you? Does this not just add to the pain you already have?"

Starfire watched then as Michael walked over and pulled out his spider-camera thing. She backed away from it. "If you are to show this I do not wish to view again, so let me partake in my leave for a bit." She then looked over at Robin. "Please, when you watch this, do not get angry..." She knew it was probably inevitable for him not to but said it anyway. She then looked back at Michael. "I shall leave when it is time, please come and get me when it is finsihed. I shall be in the hallway."

Starfire was worried over nothing, Robin was already obsessed with Slade to a extreme. No movie was going to make it any worse, the only reason Robin wasn't fighting the guy right now was because he had no idea where the nut case was. When he did reveal himself though, for Terra, Beast Boy and Ravens sake this was going to reach a end. One mistake, one slip up and it was going to be all over for that crazed lunatic. What he'd done to this team mentally and physically was unforgivable, the only chance he'd have is if he gave up on this desire to destroy and disappear forever. Then there would be no reason for Robin to worry and maybe he'd have a second shot at peace of mind. Still Starfire absence leaving him alone with their son felt a little weird. The locket was proof enough, this was definitely there kid. Any signs of photoshopping were gone, it was too clean and pristine in its original state.

When you alter the past you alter the future, you may think its for the better but sometimes things work out the way they do because its the only way enough attention is paid to it to stop it. Time travel should never be resort... Since i'm your dad then you probably already heard a speech just like this before." Actually Robin still was having a hard time digesting the title. A father? Him? Yeah right, Barbra couldn't even get any closer than Starfire had. Made Tamarain's were just a lot more fertile or something? Ok, ok... not something he wanted to think about. Sitting down on the bed side he'd fold his arms."Go ahead and play the recording."

Michael nodded as his mother left. he understood seeing it once was hard enough on a person twice was not the best idea after she left he looked at his father and the look showed he believed even if the digesting was taking a while as long as they believe thats all that mattered. Michael sighed as he listened to his mother trying to make sure his father wouldn't get mad yeah um very un likely. he knew his father if it had anything to do with Slade that was very unlikely but eh whatever this was ok with him.

Michael nodded before speaking. "Yeah more than once dad" Michael said with a chuckle as his father said to go ahead and play the recording. He nodded as he pressed play on the spider as it transformed into the camera and placed the recording on the screen. He hoped his dad wouldn't freak out to much of how the future has been. Slade had made it hell like that and he knew this was the only way to fix his time with how messed up his time was. but none the less the recording began to play on the screen.

It started out with Slade leading a bunch of his minion's to titan's tower Michael along with his family and Cyborg Raven and BB delt with them no problem but the next thing that happened Slade began pummeling down on the titan's no problem. Robin his father had told Michael to stay back as he did not want him to get hurt. Next thing that was shown was showing Slade beat robin dead right in front of Michael Followed by Starfire Than Raven than beast boy and final Cyborg until Michael was the only one left. it than began to show Michael confronting Slade but not even leaving a scratch at that the video stopped. "that's been my childhood dad" Michael said as he yelled out to the hall way. "ok mom video is done"

Starfire smiled as she listened to Robin lecturing Michael on time travel. Closing the door behind her, she leaned against the wall and looked to the side. The memories of her viewing the video for the first time went through her head. After the video ended, she remember ending up crying and hugging Michael. He soon began to cry with her and they sat there together. It must have been nice for him to be able to cry like that.. In that hard of a time, one sign of weakness could've gotten him killed. I am most thankful he had traveled, I do not wish for him to stay in such a time, even though Robin is not happy with it.

Starfire then paused for a moment, then sighed and sat down, looking down. With the way our relationship is, I am not sure how Michael had even become. Robin has been acting differently since his return, always working on that device of his.. We are not even officially together. Well, I do not believe we are.. Does he not know yet of how I feel, even after Tokyo? Have things really changed? Has his feelings changed? Am I not the one he wants? That is not what it seemed like in Tokyo.. She sighed again and jumped as a drop of water hit her leg. The Tower does not leek.. It is not even raining.. Her hands then bolted to her eyes and that were wet with tears.

"ok mom video is done"[/u]

"Eep!" Starfire jumped again as Michael yelled for here to come back. She quickly wiped her eyes and face dry as she opened the door and stepped inside, masking the sadness she felt. "The viewing is done so soon? I thought it would've been longer.." She stood back in the same place she was when they first came in. Standing there, she was far enough to see them both.

Both eyes were steady on the screen, his arms folded as the images just flashed and unveiled their pixels to reveal that story. One fragment of the movie after another it became clear just why Micheal was here... there was nothing he could alter in the past to possibly make this future worse. Each titan that fell Robin felt his heart sink, his own death didn't strike him nearly as hard as witnessing the others fall. This wasn't Slades style at all, just a up front open assault on the tower with some minions? Slade always attacked internally destroying the heart before coming for what was left of the body. Besides Slade would have to be well into his 70's at this time, how could he possibly be pulling off the kind of moves that would bring down older more experienced Titans? The math here didn't add up, actually only one conclusion came to his mind looking from his son and future wife. " This isn't Slade, the fighting style, tactics, his lack of talking everything about this guy is opposite of the maniac we face here. I'm not saying Slade couldn't beat our whole team in a fight, but it would of taken more time and effort than this. We have to find out who this really is in this time and then figure out why he used Slade as the face to bring us down with. Why wouldn't he want the credit of being the one to defeat the Titans? So many things don't add up but i'll this again... That wasn't Slade."

There was only one thing to do, find Slade and show him this video. If Robin theory held true then Slade might figure out who this really is and then they'd know who there real enemy is. If that was their Slade then he must of got some kind of godlike immortality and strength to pull off what he'd done. Still, no morbid remarks or threats? It just didn't have enough foundation, there was something left out of this whole equation. "He owes me a favor, all I got to do is find him..." Which will be notoriously difficult. Set one hand on Starfire shoulder knowing she didn't like the idea at all. "I'm just going to talk to him, I swear."

Michael saw his mom surprise that the viewing was done already and chuckled eh oh well it was she did get shocked a lot. Michael listened to his father. Not Slade?! than who the hell brought his time so much torment! the only villan his father had ever faced that he knew of that would want the titans out of the way is Slade it didn't make sense. Michael heard him thinking of asking slade for that favor Michael's eyes widened as he began to speak hopefully to convince him other wise but that probably would not happen sigh oh boy.

"DAD ARE YOU CRAZY?! confronting that MAD MAN!" Michael yelled. he sure seemed like he was crazy at the moment geese what was he thinking going to confront "Him" as he was know after Slade had destroyed his time. Oh god this was becoming a real hard day but than again what day wasn't in the life of a Teen titan yeah he figured his dad would of said that bt confronting him did he remember what happened last time he did that?! oh boy this was going to be a very long day than again all his days where.

"This isn't Slade, the fighting style, tactics, his lack of talking everything about this guy is opposite of the maniac we face here. I'm not saying Slade couldn't beat our whole team in a fight, but it would of taken more time and effort than this. We have to find out who this really is in this time and then figure out why he used Slade as the face to bring us down with. Why wouldn't he want the credit of being the one to defeat the Titans? So many things don't add up but i'll this again... That wasn't Slade."[/u]

"It, was not Slade? But, Robin it seemed so much like something he'd do.. After all, your hatred for each other goes so deep.. I do not see how it is not him.. Perhaps his fighting style has changed." Starfire was trying to understand how Robin's mind worked a bit more, but seemed to be failing at a large degree.

"He owes me a favor, all I got to do is find him..."[/u]

Starfire's eyes widened as Robin said this. "No! You cannot! Confronting him would not be such a wise idea! What if you get in danger? Who will be there to help you if needed?" She began to move her arms around a bit and was giving him a concerned look. She calmed a bit as he put a hand on her shoulder and swore to her that he was just going to talk to him. "But.. It is Slade. You may go there to talk, but he may want more.."

"DAD ARE YOU CRAZY?! confronting that MAD MAN!"[/u]

Starfire jumped by Michael's outburst and walked over to him, putting her hands on his shoulder. " Michael, please, do not yell like that again. If it turns out that Robin is right and it is not Slade, then the only one who will have an idea of who would frame him would be Slade! You must have faith in Robin.. He is the leader of the Titans after all, if he was not suited for the job, he would not be leader.. Please, you must trust him.."

None of this was going to be easy to say, both of them were about to find out just how much alike Robin and Slade were... and how much Robin knew about the man himself. Kori would no doubt get upset that Dick held back this kind of knowledge, but deep down she had to know this kind of information shouldn't be too shocking." Slade hates us, there is no doubt about it. But he doesn't want me dead. Slade on 4 separate occasions could of killed us all, in our fights hes holding back and just testing the capacity we have in battle. As much as he wants destruction, what he really wants is a successor. Because of his age he doesn't have much time left where his body will support the kind of martial arts he can use. His goal is to find a apprentice and train them so that when he dies, someone else will carry on his legacy. That's why when he became a demi-god he didn't care if he killed any of us; Trigon promised him life immortal. But hes human again now, his goal is going to resort back to finding his replacement." Couldn't bare to see Starfires reaction to all of this knowledge he held back from her for so long... and the rest of the Titans. So his eyes were fixed on Micheal finding him a far less depressing face to look upon.

" He has a minimal kind of honor, the fact that he owes me a favor will be enough to get out of there with a fight. I know this isn't easy to understand, but its the way it is. Who ever that person was in the video, I don't think they are as strong as us yet. We have to find them and stop them before they can become too strong... That should prevent this from happening at all... and I have to go alone." Being a leader meant making the tough decisions, this was one of those.
