Kevin decided to take a day for himself to just relax. No worries about school, he would like to say no worries from helping out the city but he knew that would be a pretty long stretch, and it wouldn't be happening. But regardless, it was a sunny saturday afternoon and he was on a bench in the park staring longingly up at the clouds floating past. He sighed happily, content with the day so far. It would be even better if someone came to talk to him, preferably a pretty girl.

Divine waved her fan infront over her, hot from the sun because of her love for the cold mid-night. BEsides her, Vlad moaned "Why are we so weak in the day?" he asked her, the girl shurgged "Maybe because we were created in the dark and that's what were used to?" she guessed, Vlad rolled his eyes. "Well, I want to go somewhere colder" Divine shook her head with a sigh "Fine fine, let's get a bit to eat, I found some money easiler" She should have said stole, but it didn't matter now. "Well, it better be a good place, Im hungry and hot!" Vlad's complaining made Divine clap her hands agaisnt her head where her cat ears were. "Alright already! I'll ask someone a good place to eat geez"
She desired to slam Vlad into a wall. She spotted someone on a bench, looked like he was relaxing. "Come Vlad" she said as she walked towards the man. She tried to soften her look, but it was still cold. Of course, she tried to keep people away by making mean faces. They got attention for their clothes really stand out. "Exuse me, but this there any good place to eat?" She asked the man, Vlad jumping in "And has air conditioning!" He added, Divine growling at him, her eyes turned into cat like slits.

Kevin was snapped out of his trance by the voice of a female, obviously addressing him. He quickly sat back up normally and took a good look at the person who had called his attention. She dressed strangely compared to everyone else, but then again what he wore in his spare time could also be considering a bit 'strange' so he wasn't one to judge. "Um... Well, there's the pizzaria. That's my favorite spot anyway." He answered scratching his cheek. He instinctively scooted back a little bit in his seat when he noticed the change in her eyes. He hoped she wouldn't do anything violent, he would've hated to have to deal with that on such a nice day. "There's also a McDonalds and a Burger King, if you like fast food anyway." He added, trying his best to change her mood back.

Divine turned her attention back to the man "Pizzaria?" SHe questioned, never hearding such a word. "It's some type of place where humans eat this food called Pizza" Vlad whispered to her, Divine purred with the thought of food. "Could you show us this Pizzaria please?" She asked. "Oh make it quick, she gets cranky when she doesn't have her fill of food" Vlad warned the man. Divine turned her head to Vlad "I swear, it's hard living with you day and night" she mummbled to him.

Kevin laughed at the conversation between the tall vampiric looking guy and the smaller young lady. He stood up from his seat on the bench and smiled happily. "I'd be more than happy to show you the way, just follow me strangers." He stated, the smile never leaving his face. He began to walk towards the pizza place, but at a pace that they could easily catch up with. "By the way, my name's Kevin." He introduced, figuring since they were going to be walking together for a pretty extended period of time they should atleast know each other's names.

HEr dark brown eyes looked to the new character name Kevin, asking for names. She guessed he was right, why waste time with people you didn't know the names of? "I am commonly known as Divine" she said, fanning herself as she followed. "This is my....friend Vlad" HEr words paused and made friend sound like she wasn't sure. Divine didn't know what to call vlad when around humans. Was he a friend or just a traveling partner. To her, he was just a familar summoning. Vlad gave a small grin to Kevin as he was introduced. "Tell me, is there any excitment here?" Divine asked, she didn't want to be in a boring still city. "Fairs, parades, crimes?" she titled her head, a small meow some how mixing in her words. Divine thought nothing of it. "Hey, watch your kitty mouth" Vlad hissed to her, not wanting to give away their difference in race.

"Nice to meet you Divine and Vlad." Kevin responded with a cheerful grin. He was always glad to meet new people, it was never a bad thing to have too many friends. He nodded to her question. "Yup, everything you just named, we got it here. Especially the last one." He replied. He noticed she sounded kind of different when she asked him about excitement, almost as if she were meowing like a feline. 'I'm... Probably just imagining things.' He thought, and left it as just a figment of his imagination. He heard what Vlad said, then it made him wonder if he was right about the meow. "Where are you two from? What brings you all the way out here to Jump City?" He asked, still wearing his friendly expression.

Divine and Vlad shared a glance at each other, was he catching onto them? They hoped not. "Far from here certainly" Vlad said, both unsure of where they had came from. "We're traveling, trying to find use of our own skills to better ourselves" Divine tried to resist a purr but it was nearing a full moon, her cat part of herself would come out more and more till then. "Yes, uh, we're just searching for a place to finally settle, we just got here a few days ago"Vlad trying to cover up Divine's purrs. "It seems perfect for what we're looking for in a home" Divine added, purring the perfect making her blush and angry at herself. SHe need to control her inner cat before it was to late. Vlad wrinkled his nose, he could smell Divine's anger. His pale hand touching her shoulder lightly then pressing onwards.

"Skills huh? Like, powers you mean? Or like a trade?" Kevin asked out of curiousity. If they had powers, and they came here to use their skills, that meant two potentially new heroes on their side which was never a bad thing. He once again noticed a feline-like tendency to escape her mouth, he knew something was up now. There was no way his imagination was running that rampant. He gave Divine a weird look, raising an eyebrow. "Perfect huh? That's nice to hear, glad you like it here..." He said not bringing anything up just yet. But before long he could no longer resist the urge and had to call those outbursts to attention. "So, what are you guys? You some kinda cat humans or what's the deal?"

"The cats out of the bag I guess" Vlad said as he shrugged, both very calm and hardly looked different from before. Divine kept waving her fan infront of her face. "Yes, we're different, we have powers" she said, getting to the point first before she rambled on. "I'm a half breed, human and demon, cat if you must be know" she closed her eyes, then opened them back up. "And I'm her summoning" Vlad said "I do most of the fighting then the lady there, she doesn't want to break a claw" He chuckled, Divine shook her head and sighed. "Anyways, since you know our secret we either have to kill you or if your different then we'll be allies" Her eyes turned into cat slits again, she didn't want a fight, but if he was just a regular human that now knew to much, she would have to get a bloody claw.
Vlad's eyes flashed with amusement "That's cruel for such little information" he chuckled, but what ever she said must go. "Sorry, it's her rules, what she says goes for me" he said, starting to get a little excited. He loved a little evil fun, but he kept that to himself. His eyes looked to Divine, waiting for Kevin's answer and Divine's orders.

Kevin opened his mouth to respond, but closed it after he heard the part about being killed. He visibly paled, not liking the sound of that at all. He rubbed the back of his head, laughing nervously. "I'm different I'm different! No need to kill me! Okay?" He waved his free hand infront of them, waving away the idea of them killing him. He really hoped it wouldn't come down to a fight, especially over something as trivial as that. He knew he should've kept his mouth shut! "So, let's just be allies?"

Vlad looked at Divine, wondering if she believed him. Divine held out her fan infront of the couched vampire wanna be. His eyes were shocked at her desion, but slowly stood up straight. She pulled her arm back, then softened her hard stare. She smiled, looking like an angel then that glaring beast. "Good, I hate killing anyways" she said with a happy voice, much different then when they first had met. Vlad smiled as well "Have to say, you must be a good guy for Divine to let you go so easily" he said "I respect you and trust you, kindof" he mummbled the last part to himself. Divine nodded "Allies then, now let's get to the place where the humans service that pizza thing"

"Phew! I thought that was gonna end badly for a second." Kevin clasped his hand over his heart, feeling just how quickly it was beating. He laughed nervously and rubbed the back of hie head sheepishly. "I try to be a good guy, apparently I'm doing a pretty good job." He said grinning. He laughed at Divine's statement. "Sounds like a plan, let's go. Not much further now actually, I can already start to see it."

Divine chuckled "I know good people when I see them, there isn't many here" she said "Too many just thinking for themselves, just their needs and the people around them second" she shook her head. "Shame" Vlad added. Once they were there, she stared at the pizza other people had, her face went cold and hard to scare the people staring. "It looks terrible" She commented "It's made out of cheese, tomato, and bread basicly" Vlad told her. She stared "I guess were being adventurous today" she gave a small chuckle. "We'll pay by the way" Divine added "But order whatever you want"

Kevin nodded in agreement. "Too true, it's kinda sad. But hey, atleast some people are self-less." He said trying to stay optimistic. He laughed at Divine and Vlad. "It actually tastes better than it looks. It's my favorite food to be honest." He replied still laughing. His laughter stopped when she offered to pay. He couldn't in good conscious take money from people he just met, new friends or not. "Nah, it's cool. I'll take care of it, you can just pay me back next time." He gave them his friendliest smile. "I'd suggest you start off with a cheese pizza though, don't wanna start with anything weird. Let's keep it simple for now."
