Takeshi stumbled through the dark forest, listening to the quiet howl of the wind as it passed. He was fairly tired, but he didn't hunt yet and he did it everyday, it was a big necessity. Stopping, he lifted his hand to his mouth and yawned, shaking his head afterward. Dammit, I want some sleep.. The reason he hadn't had much sleep because nightmares of mother or father kept haunting him. His mother, in blood and shadowed out would ask him why she hasn't been avenged yet and why he didn't save her. His father would ask why the hell he isn't being king of the damn demons yet and would go after him, other times he would go on about him killing him. This made him toss and turn at night and sometimes wake up yelling and cold sweat running down his face. This made Kira often worry, since she would hurry to his room to see what was wrong. He didn't like making her wake up late at night, so tried to sleep less often or sleep farther away from her room. It never worked though.
Cursing under his breathe and watching it turn to mist, Takeshi continued on and fell into a slight clearing. Sitting up and glaring down, he wiped his arms off and just sat there. Okay, never once have I dreamed of either of them since they died, so why now? Is mom mad at me for not fulfilling my job yet? That man..Can piss off, I don't care about him, but what's up with mom? Is she mad in the afterlife? I'm doing the best I can, does she have any idea how many demons or half demons there are in this world?! I'm only one man dammit!
Plopping back, he looked up at the night sky and just blinked. I wonder how Kisa is doing tonight.. Did she get something to eat? Is she sleeping well or waiting up? She better not be waiting up.. Me staying up is one thing, but she needs her rest.. Especially since I make her go to school, even though she doesn't want to. Punk..needs..her education... His eyes began to droop down as his breathing got calmer. Finally, he just drifted off into a deep sleep, praying silently he won't have one of those dreams again.

Rin walked through the wood silently, trying to sort what Aki had been telling her. Her face was full of thought, concern, and consdieration. Was it really true? Am I really needed in the spirit world? . . . Should I really help the wandering spirits? . . . I mean, Aki keeps annoying me about it, and I know it's the 'right thing to do', but what if it's not ME? . . . What if . . . I'm not meant to guide spirits into 'the light'? . . . She suddenly stopped, and looked up toward the dark, night sky. There were many stars, bright . . . shining, and full of purity. The moon was full and complete, and casted a silver glow that lit up the night and the forest.
Poison huffed a sigh, still in deep thought as she continued to gaze at the sky. I'm not any type of salvation or purification . . . all I am is darkness and destruction . . . so how does Aki expect me to -- Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted as Aki abruptly appeared in front of her.
"Rin! You have to follow me!"
Rin suddenly jumped back, shocked at Aki's sudden arrival. She hadn't entirely gotten used to the whole "spirits-can-pop-up-anytime-anywhere" concept. "Dammit! Don't do that!
Aki made a gesture with her hands, telling Rin to follow. "But you have to! I'll show you! Please, Rin? . ."
Rin glared at her and frowned. "I don't want anything to do with ghosts. Leave me alone. Tell all those spirits that have been popping up in my dreams to leave me alone." She walked through the near-transparent Aki and continued on the dirt path.
"But Rin! Spirits need you to help them! We need you! I need you! Can't you just try? Just give it a try . . . one time! Please!" Aki argued as she followed Rin.
"No." Rin said coldly. I just can't, okay?!"
Aki turned angry. "Why not?! You always refuse!"
Rin clenched her fists and gritted her teeth out of frustration. "Because . . ." She started, "I don't want anything to do with you damn ghosts! I . . . I don't care if you need me! I'm . . I'm not helping you out!"
Aki's face turned blank now, suddenly drowned of anger. "Rin --"
"I told you, no! Let me be!" Rin remained with her back to Aki as she kept marching forward.
"But --"
"I told you to disappear!"
"No, that's not what I --" Aki stopped following Rin. Poison kept walking.
"Just . . go . . -- ah!" Rin suddenly tripped over a obese tree root sticking out of the ground, and landed on something broad.
"I tried to tell you . . ." Aki stated matter-of-factly.
"Shut up . . ." Rin muttered as she lifted herself off whatever she was on. Her eyes widened, and she quickly jumped backward, now realizing she had landed on a broad someone. Then, on closer inspection, she saw that this someone was a guy with messy, white hair and a pale complexion.
Rin just continued to stare at the guy in anticipation and hesitation, wondering if she had awoke him or not. What kind of idiot sleeps in the middle of the forest?!

Taki.. Taki.. Wake up dear. Nn.. Mom..? What is it? It's four in the morning.. I'm aware my son, but we need to get ready.. Ready for what..? Mom, I don't understand.. Don't ask questions dear, let's just go. But.. What about Kisa? I told you not to ask questions, now come on! A mother's soft hand reached down for Takeshi's little one. He was only about eight now. They rushed down the hall until finally in a clear hallway she let go of his hand and walked a little ahead, lowering her head a bit. Mom! What are we running from? What are we getting ready for? She suddenly jerked forward. Mom!!!! He yelled as his eyes widened as a river of blood emerged from her body and splashed onto the floor. His pupils grew small and he ran towards her with tears beginning to form. Blood dripped out of her mouth as she weakly moved her eyes to look at her pleading and upset son.
T..Taki.. My son.. Why... Didn't you..protect your mother?! I.. Did everything I could.. To protect you.. Why.. Didn't you, do the same?! Mom.. I.. I'm sorry! I didn't know, but please!!! Please!! Don't die!! You can't die, you just can't!! I need you!!! Kisa needs you! We need you!! You can't leave us!! I.. Wouldn't want.. Stay with a son.. Like you.. Large tears escaped from his eyes as she said this and with that, her eyes dulled, resulting in her dying. Mom!!! No!! You can't!! Please, don't die, you can't!! Please don't die!! Say something, make the color come back in your eyes!!! Please Mom!! Please!!! He clutched her bloody clothes and shook her, trying to wake her p. He finally gave up and just leaned down, crying on her until things changed scene. He was now in the area where he killed his father.
Hello? Anyone here? The little child Takeshi asked as he wiped his eyes and looked around. He froze though when /a door slowly creaked open, only revealing pitch black inside another room. H..Hello..? He asked as he began to walk forward towards the door. Only after a few steps did a bloody male body fall to the ground out of the room. He jumped back and yelled, lifting his hands, about to cover his eyes,, but stopped. He saw they were covered in blood. He stared at them terrified and started to hyperventilate. He began to yell again.
Takeshi, the original one, was tossing and turning with cold sweat running down his face. He wouldn't have woken up, if it wasn't for the sudden pain that shocked throughout his body. His eyes popped open and breath leave him as he saw someone had fallen on him. It was a female, or so he presumed based on the feeling of the body. The person jerked back and proved his guess right, it was a girl. He coughed a bit and rolled over, grabbing his stomach. "Ouch.." He mumbled a bit. Finally paying attention to his senses, he sensed a partial demon. He looked at the girl with sort of big eyes. Why now?! Of all times! Either way.. A demon is a demon..

Rin noticed she had woke the boy, and once he turned to her, she blushed slightly out of embarressment of waking him. However, this embarressment only lasted an instant, and was gone just as quickly as it had appeared -- leaving Rin looking cold-hearted once again.
"Ouch.."[/u]
Rin crossed her arms, glaring at the guy; her expression suddenly annoyed. "Well, it's your own damn fault for falling asleep in the center of a forest!!" she began, nearly yelling. "I mean, who does that?! I think --" Rin broke off suddenly, a strange, but familiar scent piercing the air. Her face turned to shock and her eyes widened slightly as she reconized this scent as somewhat part of her own.
"You're a half-demon . . ." She thought aloud. Her voice had been barely a whisper, but somehow loud enough to confirm what she had said. And, for a moment, just a moment, Rin had completely forgotten about Aki. The realization of meeting another half-demon was abruptly surprising -- until now, she had believed to never meet one such as herself, never confront one. And now, here she was, standing in front of the same species she was.
But, of course, Aki had to bring herself back into memory -- forcing Rin to come back to reality. Aki looked from the boy, to Rin, back to the boy, and finally back at Rin. She grinned, and giggled. Her annoying laughter snapped Rin out of her thoughts.
"What in the hell is so amusing?!" Rin shot the question at Aki, now sending an icy stare towards her, and not at all thinking of the boy . He probably would think she was talking to a nearby tree, or possibly the air. Perhaps he would think she was dellusional, or mentally unstable? But, of course, at this moment, these thoughts never struck Rin's mind. Aki's grin extended. "Nothing," she answered with a hint of laughter in her. "I can't belileve you didn't know he was a half-demon until now! It would seem that you would have sensed it ealier when you fell on him." Aki's grin suddenly vanished as she stared at Rin and shook her head at her in what seemed like disapproval. "You really ought to be nice to the guy instead of acting like your normal bitchy self. The least bit you can do is help him up. I mean, it is your fault that he's awake now, and possibly hurt. You should show him some respect."
Rin grimaced and flared, irritated at Aki's smart mouth, bit even more aggervated at the face that Aki was right. Delibertly, Poison turned her back on Aki and walked over to the guy who still lay on the ground, holding his stomach.
She sighed, and knelt down beside him, looking him in the eye. Her face was a bit concerned and calm, but also hard and unreadable, looking stone-like. Her eyes were also unreadable, but deep and dark like looking into a pool of chocolate.
"Look, I really am sorry I fell on you, as it is partially my fault." She momentarily shot a glare at Aki, who was now floating across from and on the other side of her, and also "standing" beside the boy. Aki responded by mockingly, and annoyingly, smirking in return. After an instant, Rin's gaze had returned to the guy', and had become unreadable and hard again. She continued. "However, it was partially your fault as well. You really do need to learn to sleep some place where people won't fall on top of you."

Takeshi rubbed his head as he sat up and put his elbows on his knees, looking at the girl who was now turning red, but then went back to normal. He just gave her a blank, tired stare. That was fairly quick.. Scratching the side of his head as she began to tell him it was his fault and shouldn't sleep outside in the woods and so on, he just rolled his eyes. "You think I don't know that. Damn, all I said was ow and she stands there and gives me a lecture.."He said as he began to stand up. "I'll also have you know that I've slept in the woods multiple times without having been tripped on. Or given a lecture. Hell, I haven't been lectured in years." He said as he brushed himself off. "A tired person sleeps in the forest.." He said as he yawned, but looked at her as she cut herself off. He just arched an eyebrow as she gave him a surprised with look.
"You're a half-demon . . ."[/u]
Now it was Takeshi's turn to look at her surprised, but then he just smirked and crossed his arms. "So you can tell. I must have let it slipped, or your senses are just really dull. I knew you were a half-demon, even a dead one at that, the moment I woke up." He told her as his eyes began to look smug. "But yes, sadly, i am a half-demon as I established earlier." He told her as he looked to the side. Maybe I should pull out DDS.. He sighed and had a bored expression on his face. well, surprisingly, I don't feel like pulling it out. Too tired.. Damn, right when a demon shows up. Worst of luck. He then ran his hand through his hair as he sighed again. He looked back at her as she stared at him. Now he began to feel a bit uncomfortable.
"What in the hell is so amusing?!"[/u]
Takeshi looked at her with a confused expression. "Huh? I find something amusing..?" He asked, but saw her glare pointed in a different direction.Someone's there..? I don't see anyone.. Air? Last time I checked, air can't be amused. Is she delirious or something? Seeing things? Not sure.. Then again, she is dead. I can sense it, even smell it.. So maybe she can see something I can't. Don't know, but it might be better not to ask.. Don't want that sour tongue of hers to snap any infuriating comments at me. Not like I care is she tell me anything rude or hurtful, I could care less, actually, I just don't wanna listen to it. Gets annoying, after awhile. He sat back down for no reason, really. He looked up at her as she sighed and sat next to him, looking him in the eye.
"Look, I really am sorry I fell on you, as it is partially my fault. However, it was partially your fault as well. You really do need to learn to sleep some place where people won't fall on top of you."[/u]
Takeshi looked and turned to the side as he turned pink himself. Well, damn, not every day he gets apologized to by a demon. That always made him blush for some reason, but actually only if it was a female that apologized. Well, the girl was pretty, half-demon or not. Or dead, same thing. Second time someone's apologized to me.. Dammit.. Sighing himself, Takeshi stood up and began to walk off. "Yeah yeah, they you go again with the lectures. I already know it was my fault for not picking a better spot, and it's also yours for not watching where you were going and whatnot." He stopped and tilted his head a bit though, revealing cold eyes. "Even so, I don't need life lessons from a worthless, dead half-demon such as yourself." He began to walk off again. "Consider yourself lucky that I'm not gonna kill you today, but I'll have you know that if I cross paths with you again, I will kill you, it's a promise too." He said as he lifted his hand, as if waving goodbye.

The guy rolled his eyes at Rin's warnings.
"You think I don't know that. Damn, all I said was ow and she stands there and gives me a lecture.." "I'll also have you know that I've slept in the woods multiple times without having been tripped on. Or given a lecture. Hell, I haven't been lectured in years." "A tired person sleeps in the forest.." [/u]
This made Rin even more aggitated. "How dare you say that I tripped!! I did not trip, I fell on you!" Rin narrowed her eyes. "Lecture you? Lecture you?! I was just warning your damn ass so you wouldn't get hurt again! I guess I shouldn't have!"
The guy arched his brow, then smirked and crossed his arms, looking arrogant.
"So you can tell. I must have let it slipped, or your senses are just really dull. I knew you were a half-demon, even a dead one at that, the moment I woke up." ""But yes, sadly, i am a half-demon as I established earlier."
Rin rolled her eyes and looked annoyed, already aware that she had been stupid for not sensing him as a half-demon before. Then the boy mentioned knowing she was a hybrid way before she she ever extinguished it, and that she was dead.
Damn. Not this again . . . This boy wasn't the first to realize she was among the walking dead. In fact, he was more like the fiftith. Nevertheless, Poison hated it when they referred to her as 'dead', when she was actually still breathing. "Look," she started with her hands on her hips, glaring at him. "I may be technically dead, but that doesn't mean I can't kick you. I'm just as alive as you are."
"Huh? I find something amusing..?"
Rin turned to see a confused expression bestowed upon his face after she had glared at Aki. He looked at her like she was crazy. Her face displayed a mix of emotions -- concern, regret, worry, and anger. Ah shit, he probably thinks I'm insane . . . Damn that Aki! Rin looked up to give Aki a glowering death-stare, but when she wasn't there, Rin got angrier, and started speaking her thoughts aloud. "Damn Aki! Whenever I don't want her here, she won't leave me alone! But when I actaully do want her here, she disappears!!" Rin scowled, and glared at the spot Aki had just been, then looked around her. She wasn't anywhere in sight. Rin growled in frustration. "I hate her . . ." she uttered.
Rin smirked as the boy turned pink and looked away after she had apoligized. "Heh." Her eyes glowed with amusement. "What's with the red cheeks, hm?" She teased. It was fun to make tease him. Afterall, it served him right for being so rude. Plus, not only was it fun, teasing others was an exterior way to burn off steam for Poison -- she was mad at Aki for disappearing like she had, herself for being so vulernable before, and this guy for being so rude to her. It served as a masquerade for Rin.
When she didn't recieve an answer from the boy, she decided he was in deep thought. During this time, she noticed some things she hadn't noticed earlier. His eyes were a blazing red, like lasers that could see right through you. His hair was was a nice white, a little messy, but not too much. And, the most unique thing about him was that exquisite tattoo on one side of his neck. Rin stared at it as curiousity flashed through her eyes -- it was a strange symbol, but yet it seemed familiar somehow. I wonder what it means . . .
The boy sighed, breaking Rin from her thoughts. Abruptly, he stood up, and started to walk away. Rin jumped to her feet, and crossed her arms, her look returned to her face. "So you're just gonna walk away? No apology?"
"Yeah yeah, there you go again with the lectures. I already know it was my fault for not picking a better spot, and it's also yours for not watching where you were going and whatnot."
Rin held a straight face, yet she still glared at him, ignoring the fury rising up in her. "That was called an apology, not a lecture." Rin corrected coldly, purposely ignoring who's fault it was. True, it HAD been her fault, that was certain. Everything was her fault. But the guy was right, it was also partially his fault. There was no use in repeating things, so Rin didn't mention it. She understood it, and didn't need this idiot to explain.
The boy suddenly stopped, and tilted his head a bit, sending her a cold stare. She instantly glared back at him, letting him continue.
"Even so, I don't need life lessons from a worthless, dead half-demon such as yourself."[/u]
Worthless. The word was like a stake in her heart. Rin's angry expression vanished and Rin grimaced, shutting her eyes, knowing what would come next. I have to stop it from coming . . . She thought. Don't think about. Don't think about it, Don't - Thankfully, the boy's voice broke through her thoughts, and she opened her eyes to see him walking away. Rin was glad he had interrupted her mind. Only, his words only made things worse.
"Consider yourself lucky that I'm not gonna kill you today, but I'll have you know that if I cross paths with you again, I will kill you, it's a promise too."
Kill. The word echoed through Rin's mind, erasing all her current thoughts. That one word -- that one small word that meant so much and stood out from everything else. Rin's face turned afraid. No! Ignore it . . . Just don't think about them . . . But the more she didn't think about it, the worse it became. Her heartbeat started to beat faster, and faster until it was no longer regular pace. "Don't give in. . ." She told herself. Her breathing was coming in shallow breaths now, and her memories began to flash before her eyes. She started to hear familer voices of the past, see the memories before her. Her face turned pale, and she squeezed her eyes shut, and covered her ears. "No! Go away!! No!!" She yelled out of fear.
It didn't help. The voices became louder as if the people were right next to her. The images became clearer as if there was a television in her mind.
"It's all your fault, Rin!! He's dead!! You killed him!! Your own father!! HOW COULD YOU?!" One of the voices screamed in her ear. She reconized it as her drunken mother. Rin was 13, and her mother was hitting her. Punching her. Beating her as if she was nothing.[/i]
Rin could feel the blows as if they were happening right then. She fell to her knees. "No!! I didn't kill him! I didn't . . . I couldn't have . . I . . . "
Rin's mother, Miyu, kept inflicting pain upon the 13-year-old Rin, causing her to flinch and cringe. "YOU KILLED HIM!! You killed your father and my husband!! LOOK AT YOUR HANDS!!" Miyu demanded.
Rin's eyes filled with tears as she opened her eyes, and uncovered her ears, looking down at her hands. Crimson blood covered each of them, her father's blood. All dried up and crusted under her nails, and everywhere around her hands. Her eyes widened in disbelief and fear as her hands started to tremble. Tears ran down her cheeks while she stared at her trembling, blood-stained hands in denial. Rin was petrified and in shock. "No . . ." She rejected once more, her shaky voice barely a whisper. "I . . . I couldn't have murdered my own father . . . I-I loved him."

"How dare you say that I tripped!! I did not trip, I fell on you!" "Lecture you? Lecture you?! I was just warning your damn ass so you wouldn't get hurt again! I guess I shouldn't have!"[/u]
"Maybe you should have." Takeshi snapped, but then sighed, running his hand through his hair and held his palm up at her. "Well, thanks for the "warning", but I can handle myself." He then stood there and watched as she put her hands on her hips, also rolling her eyes, looking annoyed. He bit his tongue so he wouldn't say anything. Then she glared.
"Look," "I may be technically dead, but that doesn't mean I can't kick you. I'm just as alive as you are."[/u]
Takeshi chuckled at this. "I figured you were as much as alive as the next person, otherwise I wouldn't be able to see you, despite the higher abilities I have." He said as he looked at her. "But why would you kick instead of punch? If you ask me, punching is much better than kicking." He told her.
"Damn Aki! Whenever I don't want her here, she won't leave me alone! But when I actually do want her here, she disappears!!"[/u]
Takeshi just gave her a blank stare. "Maybe she wants to annoy you, which seems to be working and the disappears because she knows you're pissed?" He asked, looking to the side as the breeze passed by. Wonder if she can actually see spirits, or if she's crazy and thins she sees them but really doesn't..? Hm.. He looked at the girl. Don't really wanna know if I want to ask either... Not that I'm afraid, just don't want another freakin' lecture.. He sighed slightly.
"Heh." "What's with the red cheeks, hm?"[/u]
He knew she was teasing him now and was getting fun out of it, making him turn a deeper red. "Nothing!" He snapped, turning away a bit. "I'm just.. Not use to people apologizing." He told her as he looked up. she's different when she teases people like that.. I like her better that way, when she's happy. Better than the sharp-tongued attitude she has. Then again, I have that too.. If she was like that more often she'd be really cute. He paused for a second and squinted. "...." His face then went up quickly in a deep red blush as he turned away from her, putting his hands on his head and looking down, blushing like fire. WAIT! WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST SAY!??!? He dropped to his knees as if he had been defeated, looking up. I can't like a half-demon! Not now not ever! He glanced at her form the side of his eye and then back up. But.. She is pretty though.. He leaned forward and out his hands on the ground, putting his head down. Okay, I like a female half-demon.. Alright, no big deal.. I've liked female demons before, but I killed them.. And I have a feeling she won't die tonight or any other night.. Unless I snap somehow.. He groaned and slammed his head on the ground, probably looking like a major fool.
"So you're just gonna walk away? No apology?"[/u]
Takeshi stopped and looked at her. "What should I have to apologize for, exactly..?" He asked her, making it an honest question. He really did think he hadn't done anything wrong. Then he remembered she apologized to him for falling on him and that it was also his fault too. "Ooohhh. right.. yeah, sorry." He said as he waved his hand a bit and continued to walk off, not actually meaning it.
"That was called an apology, not a lecture."[/u]
"Yeah yeah.." He mumbled, not stopping. He heard her mumble something to herself, but pain no attention to it. He did stop though when he heard her breathing become shallow. He turned to loom at her, seeing her ears covered, pale and her eyes shut tight.
"No! Go away!! No!!"[/u]
Takeshi could pick the fear out of that, but wasn't sure if he wanted to go to her or not. She fell to her knees and began to speak. He listened and caught every word. This made him run over to her. He didn't know what to say though. He searched in his mind to find the right words, making sure it wouldn't make things worse. She finally opened her eyes and uncovered her ears, but began to cry. Well shit! I wasn't supposed to make her cry! Stop crying dammit! She looked at her hands with disbelief and speak again, saying she couldn't have killed her father and that she loved him. he grabbed her arms and shook her a bit. "Hey! Snap out of it! There's nothing on your hands! No blood, not anything! Wake up and see what's in front of you!" He yelled, trying to grab her attention.
