Overall Personality | Kanna shows little to no emotion, and is silent -- rarely to speak. But when she does speak, she is shy, innocent, mysterious, and emotionally bare. She keeps to herself, and is enigamatic; only speaking and sharing her unemotional feelings to her "Onee-chan", Moriko and occasionally Shiro(but Shiro already knows how she feels), since Moriko is the only one who understands her besides Shiro. Kanna will do anything for Moriko, and cares for her very much. But despite her emotionless expression and voice, Kanna is known to be very blunt and truthful, or protective and protesting whenever she DOES speak, and she seems to have loyality to certain people. However, Kanna may have the appearance of a "shy, sweet, harmless little girl", but she is acually very powerful.
And, like everyone in her home dimention, Kanna's mirror also has a personality of its own, reflecting Kanna's dormant personality. Kanna's mirror is called "Shiro" and seems to be a male of some sort. He can talk to Kanna anytime he wants, but only inside her mind, and is aware of everything that goes on in her life, even though he's a mirror -- well, sort of(explained below). And, even though he seems to only talk to Kanna occationally, Shiro is the very opposite of Kanna, as he is not afraid to open up and say what he feels. He is usually serious or very outgoing. He can seem very aggresive and careless, or very playful and wreckless acting; although he has his clever and smug sides to him as well. He doesn't get upset or hurt easily, but will sometimes throw a temper-tantrum. In short, Shiro is Kanna's alter ego -- Shiro is Kanna's emotional part of her.
SPECIAL
Powers and Abilities |
Mirror - The mirror that Kanna posseses is the basic source of her abilities. This mirror, apparently, is not your average mirror -- in fact, it is actually an entity, and it acts as Kanna's other personality. Kanna is the only one who knows this, as she has not told anyone, not even her "Onee-chan" -- as Kanna is the only one to control and possess the mirror's abilities because she and her mirror are combined as one.
She is rarely seen without it, and is very connected to it -- as it is part of her being. Kanna can summon it whenever need be/at her will.
Teleportation - With or without her mirror, Kanna is able to appear anywhere. However, Kanna's Teleportation is limited, on and off, so she only uses this ability sometimes.
Empathy(with/without her mirror) -
Empathy: psionic ability of empathy, the power to absorb emotions, enabling her to feel the feelings of others.
Emotion Negation: She can also use her empathy to steal emotions from others, rendering them emotionally "numb".
Empathic Healing: She can absorb the pain of injured people to ease their suffering, and induce rapid healing. However, she cannot heal herself.
Reflection - If an opponent's projectile/blast attack hits Kanna's mirror, then the mirror absorbs the attack, and then literally reflects the attack right back at the opponent. In other words, Kanna is able to send an enemie's attack right back at them.
Observation/Communication - If Kanna needs to know where someone is and what they are doing, all she has to do is peer into her mirror and ask for them. Her mirror, will at first, show a slight fog, but then it will clear to show the requested person, their whereabouts, and what they are doing at that time.
But if Kanna just peers into her mirror, she is able to speak to her Shiro, and Shiro speak to her. Kanna and Shiro are able to communicate through thought in Kanna's head when she peers into it, so Kanna is the only one who is able to hear the Shiro's words. Not even mind-readers can hear the mirror -- no one but Kanna can speak and hear it; and she can speak to it even without it summoned, as Kanna and Shiro, her mirror, are connected.
Soul Reader - Once someone is reflected into Kanna's mirror, she is able to see their soul -- see their most painful memories, ones that they'd rather forget, and all the things they are ashamed of. How would Kanna use this to her advantage, you ask? Read the next attack.
Energy Projection - Kanna's mirror holds a magical light energy that can be shot at an opponent. Once an opponent is reflected in her mirror, Kanna can, first, see their most valuable painful memories(previous technique), but then, if she so chooses, she can turn these memories into light energy, a mix between moonlight and lightening, inside the mirror. Once this is done, Kanna can shoot these painful, unforgetable, and shameful memories in the form of light energy right back at the enemy, causing harm to not only their physical body, but to their soul and mind as well.
Shattered - If Kanna were t have her mirror to shatter into shards, the mirror would transform into a glass monster(it's true form).
While the mirror is transformed into this glass monster, Kanna is the only one who is capable of commanding it/controlling it, and the transformed mirror must obey Kanna, or already know what to do. During this state, the glass monster is capable of killing any enemy with it's various glass projectiles, weapons, and armor; making it a very formidable foe, indeed. However, there is two drawbacks:
1) When the glass monster is attacked, it does not show any sign of pain, nor wound or scratch, but the attack is inflicted on Kanna. In other words, Seeing to it that Kanna and her mirror are connected as one, whenever the monster is attacked, Kanna takes the damage and the pain while the monster is unharmed and unaffected. This could go on either until someone wins, or until Kanna shatters into a million pieces and dies.
2) And, if the glass monster(Kanna) happens to win, the mirror will return to normal, and some of Kanna's injuries will be healed, allowing her to continue her life. HOWEVER, if the glass monster somehow loses, then all of the pain inflicted on Kanna will not be healed, and she will shatter into a million pieces, dying. Her transformed mirror follows, and does the same, destroying itself and its owner.
So, in short, Kanna is very rarely to use this attack, even if it is her most powerful. She only releases the monster in a deadly, bloody, near-death battle/situation when it is needed, because she knows the risks, and the drawbacks of releasing her full power.

History | Not much is known about Kanna. She is from a dimention called "Lunaria". In Lunaria, everyone was born having an object being their inner dormant personality, or alter ego. Kanna had happened to be born with a small, round mirror in her hands. She was born like very other demon-alien child in Lunaria, with her soul-object that she would talk with and be connected to all her life. She was to be princess of her land once she reached a certain age, as her parents were king and queen of the dimention.
But things weren't meant to be. Invaders from other dimentions came to destroy the dimention a few days after Kanna's birth. They claimed there were too many dimentions amuck, and that this one was the worst of them all. Invaders began to battle with Demons, and a war began to rage. People of Lunaria knew their home was coming to an end, and merely waited for it to end. Others continued to battle, but it was no use, Invaders tremendously outnumbered Lunarians. And now, the Invaders had won, and were to slowly killing all the people of Lunaria, one by one -- starting with the King and Queen. Kanna's mother and father were aware of this, and not wanting their daughter's newborn life to end so quickly, they sent her to earth in a shooting star, wishing her well, and knowing that Earth was the most similar world to their own.
Shortly, after they had done this, the King and Queen perished under the Invaders, and the Invaders had no trouble destroying the rest of the Lunarians. Soon, the Invaders had taken over Lunaria and destroyed it completely -- buildings and all, causing the dimention to cease to exist.
Meanwhile, a mortal girl named Akane had found Kanna by an alley, and took her home to take care of her. The girl was 14 when this happened, and her parents had recently died in a car accident. However, Akane, the natural caring and kind person she was, decided to take the infant home and care for her herself. She figured Foster Care was the worst place, and lived in a small house, still living a normal life just as her parents were still living.
Kanna's parents died when she was small, so she doesn't remember them at all, or anything about her dimention. All she's ever had was her mortal sister, Akane. And even though Kanna was a demon, and Akane was mortal, Akane treated Kanna just as she was her real bilogical little sister. And, Kanna looked up to her mortal sister, just as any little sibling would.
However, this happiness ended when Kanna turned 6 and Akane was 19, finally able to claim the small house on her own. A squad of Demon Hunters broke into their home, and murdered Akane, thinking that she had been the Demon they had been searching for. They left shortly, thinking they had done their job, leaving poor Kanna all alone and devastated. Akane was gone, and now all she had left was Shiro, her mirror. She could no longer stand this hurt she felt for her sister anymore, and so she escaped her home, and fled to a nearby forest. This left Kanna to fend for herself, and learn how to survive on her own. Akane was buried in Jump City's cemetary, and the Demon Hunters discovered their mistake, and now began to search for Kanna, knowing now that she was the demon.
Kanna was 7 now, and still in the forest, fending for herself. Kanna had just discovered her demon powers, and had practiced them right much with Shiro, also having converstaions with him often about certain topics. She had been eating the berries and fruits of the many bushes and trees, drinking water from the flowing river, and starting friendships with small animals. She was starting to get used to living here, and was actually beginning to like it in this wood, and she, actually, from time to time, would forget that she even had a mortal sister at one time.
However, it wasn't long before the Demon hunters wandered into this forest. And when they saw Kanna, they knew she was the one they had been looking for and shot their specialized bullets at her, only to have the bullets reflected back by Kanna's mirror, as Kanna had sensed their feelings shortly before, and knew of their prescence. A few of them died, but most of them continued to try and end Kanna. Shiro convinced Kanna to try and use her soul ability, as reflecting the attacks were starting to have little effect on the hunters as they began to hide behind the trees. Kanna reflected some of the hunters' souls in her mirror, turned their memories into light energy, and watched as the energy thrusted into them. Some of them went into shock, and some of them were spiritly wounded as they fell on their knees, either crying or grimacing. However, some of them still managed to resist or were stronger than most, still throwing their rocks, knives, and shooting their bullets at her. Kanna continued to reflect them with her mirror, but they kept coming, and even though some of the troops were down, she wouldn't be able to defeat them all. The troops were creating a diversion, as the leader snuck behind Kanna and hit her with a large rock. Kanna, fell to the ground, being knocked out from the blow, and Shiro rolled to the ground.
The next thing Kanna knew when she came to, she was tied up to a tree, in the center of a circle of Demon Slayer men glaring at her. Kanna looked around at her surroundings . . . this wasn't the same forest she had been in. It was thicker, and more dark green. She looked over at the ground, a few inches away lay her mirror, but she couldn't reach it, or wrap her hands around it. Kanna was tied up, and had been kidnapped. Some of the men went over to her mirror and picked it up, trying to get its powers to work, little did they know Kanna was the only able to use it. Kanna struggled to break free from the rope that bound her to the tree, but it was no use -- the rope was too strong for her. The men, realizing the mirror was no use to them, threw the mirror back down to the ground, and turned to stare at Kanna, a look Kanna found rather scary. They conversed about enslaving her since she seemed like the only one who could access the mirror's powers, agreeing that it'd be fun to threaten and boss her around. Kanna didn't like this, but said nothing and showed no sign of emotion -- afterall, there was really nothing she could do to prevent it.
Suddenly, Kanna sensed another emotional prescence -- one that was not any of these men. Kanna searched between the trees to see if she could spot the prescence. That's when she saw her -- a demon woman much taller than her with long black hair and brown eyes that stared back at her; amazingly looking identical to Akane. Abruptly, the woman stepped into view, and Kanna noticed she was dressed differently -- like a princess, and attained a shealth with a sword. Kanna heard a growl from behind the woman, and noticed there was a wolf with her. All the men, hearing the growl, turned around to see the demon woman, and began charging towards her. The demon woman then unsheathed her sword, and once the men were close enough, slashed the men and killed them. She grunted at the men, seeming annoyed by them, but flicked the blood off and sheathed her sword, as the men now were on the ground, dead.
Kanna was truely amazed. She couldn't have killed them, and yet this woman had ended their lives in just one sweep of her sword. Suddenly, the woman turned to Kanna, and gave her a warm smile. Walking over to her, the woman untied the rope that had bound her to the tree and set Kanna free. After a moment, the woman waved, turnedm and started to walk away. But, Kanna, picking up her mirror, began to follow her, curious about the woman. Shiro told her to stop, but Kanna refused, and continued to follow the demon woman, wondering just how powerful she was, and why she attained an uncanny resemblence to Kanna's mortal sister. She soon learned that this demon woman was named Moriko.
Kanna had become fond of the demon woman who had saved her, as she still continued to follow her after a few days. Shiro eventually didn't mind, and Kanna started spending time with Moriko, as she didn't seem to mind. After about a year, Kanna realized that her and Moriko had formed a sisterly bond, and Kanna began to follow her everywhere. Now, Kanna cares very much about Moriko and continues to tag along with her and Hiunmei most of the time, as she looks up to Moriko like a big sister.
OTHER
Anything Else | Once Kanna uses her "Soul Reader" attack, she gains the memories of the person she used the attack on, and keeps them forever along with her own memories.
Sample RP | Kanna sat in a tree branch, peering into her mirror with her usual emotionless face. The wind blew her hair slightly as the sun continued to set.
What shall we do?, she asked Shiro quietly in her mind, uncertain. We should wait. He replied in her head, Why do ya wanna find her anyway? That'd be stalkerish. . . Kanna continued to stare blankly into her mirror. Shiro is mean. She stated bluntly. I am not! I was sayin' that followin' that wolf-demon will get us no where. AND if you did follow her, she'd probably think you were a stalker.
Kanna's expression was still void of emotion. But she looks exactly like Onee-chan. But she's not. She's some random demon chick that you don't even know. You don't know what she's capable of, so I wouldn't follow her. Jus' 'cause she saved ya doesn't mean she cares. Let's go.
Kanna jumped down from the tree with Shiro still in her hand, and soon began to follow the dirt path the demon woman had recently took. You only listen to me when it's important, huh?! Then why even ask meh a stupid question?! Unless ya gonna listen to my advice, don't even ask meh anything!! Shiro is being mean again . . .
Grrr!! Shut up!! I AM NOT!!
