Kanna sat on a small, grey rock in the middle of the lush, green meadow. She stared straight ahead into the green forest that surround the clearing. Shiro, her mirror, in her hands, and her face void of emotion. Her snow-white hair slightly danced in the wind as she continued to worry on the inside.
They'll be back soon, Kanna. Shiro assured her, sensing her agitation. Onee-chan has been gone too long this time. Something is wrong. Kanna protested, her thoughts and face still emotionally bare, worry still within her. She gazed into her mirror.
Shiro sighed. He didn't like it when Kanna was troubled. Moriko and Hiunmei had gone into the woods to find some food for them all. Moriko had told Kanna to stay behind -- her reasons were unknown, but that's what she always did. Her and Hiunmei would go into the forest for a while and Kanna did as Moriko said, staying behind, waiting for them to come back. This all was normal. But only this time, they were taking a lot longer than usual. Usually, Moriko and Hiumei would be back by now.
Oh C'mon. Moriko and Hiunmei are fine. So what if they'd been gone a little longer than usual? Maybe they're just running late! Shiro tried again. Kanna didn't answer Shiro. She just continued to stare blankly into her mirror. After a couple of moments, she began to stare into the forest again, her eyes and senses searching for her Onee-chan. I hope Shiro is right. . .

Moriko ran threw the forest excitedly as she dodged each tree. Normally Hiunmei would be right behind her, but he was left carrying the deer back that they had caught. Get over here and help me already! Sorry, no can do. Why would that be? C'mon! Show all those other pretty females wolves you're big and strong! You're changing the subject!! That's not the point. The point was lost long ago.. Shame, you should keep better track of it.. You just want me to kill you, don't you? I'd like to see you try![/i] That went and did it, Hiunmei let go of the deer and began to chase her around. They tore each other up a bit, but not much. The play had to stop for other animals, such as foxes, were eying their deer. That stopped them a bit and made them sort of late, but that wasn't the only reason.
When they were hunting the group of deer and brought down a female deer, the one they currently had, it's mate was not happy with that and he was the main buck of the group, so he had huge horns. He went after Hiunmei first, who was currently distracted with the female. Moriko saw this so jumped and steered the deer away, but he knocked her off and his hoof met her shoulder. This gradually pissed off Hiunmei so he ran after the buck and bit his neck, biting and breaking a vain which killed him instantly. Other deer began to protest, but they managed to scare them off. Now why are they only taking one? That would be because Moriko was too excited, despite her shoulder, to go back to Kanna and refused to take the other. They took the male, since he was the biggest and also had horns, which would provide good chew toys for Hiunmei and her.
When the meadow was in view, Moriko slowed down and began to prowl around. Kanna was in her sight and she had a trick up her sleeve. Or, fur, whatever. Hiunmei began to watch her like she was stupid. What are you doing? Sh! I'm not even being loud! SHH! His ears went flat and h glared, but he was silent, just like she wanted. When she was behind Kanna, she ran out like she did when she was chasing prey and jumped, quickly transforming into a human, landing on her feet before she fell and picked up Kanna. "We're back! Hope we didn't make you wait too long, Hiunmei was being a jerk on the way back, so it took us longer." She told Kanna, as she was in the air, with a smile. She sat Kanna on her arm as she turned and watched Hiunmei drag out the deer. I was not you little liar! You're being a jerk right now. I am seriously gonna rip out your throat. Nuh-uh, cuz' you'll have to face Kanna if you do. Besides, you wouldn't kill me, you love me too much. Ha ha ha! Yeah, uh-huh, sure I do. You're so mean!! You started it! I'm gonna finish it too. He began to growl at her, but she payed no attention to him. She put Kanna down and looked at her. "Hungry?"

Suddenly, Kanna heard something from behind her and turned slightly, only to be picked up by Moriko. Kanna's agitation abruptly disappeared. Shiro grunted. Finally! Ugh . . . I thought this boredom would last forever!!
"We're back! Hope we didn't make you wait too long, Hiunmei was being a jerk on the way back, so it took us longer."[/u]
Kanna smiled slightly. "Onee-chan is back." She stated. SEE?!! What'd I tell ya, you foolish girl?! Nothing was wrong! It was just Hiunmei being an ass as usual!! Kanna ignored Shiro, and stared blankly at Moriko, glad she had came back.
Kanna suddenly turned her head at Hiunmei as he growled a bit, noticing the deer they had caught. I wonder what Moriko said to him this time . . .[/i] Suddenly, Moriko placed Kanna back down, and looked at her. Hungry?[/u]
HaHa!! She said the magic word! Say yes! Say yes!![/i] Kanna stared at her Onee-chan for a mere moment before answering. Her face blank now, she gave a slight nod. FINALLY!! YOU LISTEN TO ME!! Haha! Shiro seems very happy today. Indeed, I am, Kanna!! Wahahahaha!! Yummy food! Delicious, tasty food!! Come to me! Maahahahahaha!! Shiro is scary. . .[/i][/color]

Moriko smiled still, but it grew bigger as she saw Kanna smile a bit as well. "Yup, you're fabulous sister has returned!" She said as she lifted her arms and twirled a bit. She was really just kidding about the fabulous thing, but she was having fun. Yup, sooo fabulous, you kept her waiting forever, you're horrible. I made her wait because someone had tried to eat me.. I wasn't trying to eat you, I was going to kill you. And what would you do with the carcass? Leave it for the other animals. Rude! What's got you so grumpy today? You, what else? Ouch, that hurt. Good. She stuck her tongue out at him and he just gave he a weird look. You're such a child...
Ignoring him yet again, she turned her attention back to Kanna. Just in time too, for she gave a slight nod. "Oh good, I hoped you would be! So, how would you like it cooked? Or do you wanna eat it like Hiunmei and I do? I don't think you like that, but you know how hazy my memory is.. Heh.." She rubbed the back of her head. "So, do you like it cooked?" Ooo, can't even remember how she likes her food. See, I told you you were a bad sister. Hush it! It's not like you remember either! She's not my sister, just a mere companion of yours. That you love dearly. .... Point proven.

"Yup, you're fabulous sister has returned!"[/u]
Kanna watched as Moriko twirled. Onee-chan is happy today . . . HEEEHEEEE!!! WONDERFUL FOOOOD!!! And Shiro is still scary . . . [/i]
She stared up at her Onee-chan emotionlessly for a moment, and then looked down, and hugged her. "Kanna is happy . . . that Onee-chan is here . . ."
UH HUH! I see how it is now!! You care about her more than you do me!! Well, fine, then, Kanna!! I guess I won't talk to you anymore!! Shiro is jealous of Onee-chan? NOOO!!! WHAT GAVE YOU THAT STUPID IDEA?!! I WOULD NEVER BE JEALOUS!!! Shiro is very jealous of Onee-chan. . . I AM NOT!! [/i]
"Oh good, I hoped you would be! So, how would you like it cooked? Or do you wanna eat it like Hiunmei and I do? I don't think you like that, but you know how hazy my memory is.. Heh.."
Kanna looked up at her Onee-chan again, and thought for a moment. "Hm . . . Cooked." She finally decided softly, her still face blank of emotion. Kanna could tell that Hiunmei then said something else to Moriko as she turned to him and gave him a "You know I'm right" face. Kanna cocked her head to one side curiously. They're probably talking about meat or something . . . ooooohhh . . . meat sounds delicious right now. . . But Shiro cannot even eat or taste. Shiro does not know about food. . . SHUT UP!! I can dream, can't I?!
Kanna ignored Shiro once again, and continued to watch Moriko and Hiunmei curiously.

Moriko's face drew blank and she began to get worried that maybe she had made Kanna upset since she looked down. Ooo, Told you you were a bad sister. I... Kanna then gave her a hug. Her smile returned as she hugged Kanna back. "I'm glad to be here Kanna. I wouldn't want anything more or less. It's much easier to handle Hiunmei on days like this with you here." Speaking of Hiunmei, she turned and looked at him as she pointed a finger. "HA! I'm not a bad sister after all!! You, were, WRONG!!"She yelled as he just sat there. Shut up.. You know, gloating is a sin.. I shall punish you in favor to the heavens'. "Oh? What do you think you can do?" She spoke aloud, forgetting that no one else can hear them. I'll force you to eat vegetables. She gasped and flinched back. She then quickly went behind Kanna and bent down to her size, practically hiding behind her. "No..I promise...I'll be good.."
"Hm . . . Cooked."[/u]
Standing back up straight, Moriko lifted a fist in the air. "Alrighty, cooked it is then!" She said as she pranced over to the buck and drew her sword, quickly slicing it in a large, long chunk since she really didn't know how much Kanna wanted. After taking the fur off, she caught it on fire for a few seconds. When it was finished, she balanced it on her katana hilt and held it out towards Kanna. "And there you are!"She told her happily. You're really cheerful today.. Something wrong with that? Am I not always cheerful? You are, but you just seem more cheerful today than usual.. Why? I'm just in a good mood today, I guess.. I don't know.. Wow.. What? Nothing, I didn't say anything.. Liar! You said "wow". Oh well.. Hm.. Anyway, am I allowed to start eating? Yeah, why wouldn't you be? I don't know, I guess I thought you'd want me to wait for you. Thanks, I'm glad you thought of me, but go ahead and eat, I don't mind, you don't have to wait. It's the polite thing to do. When do wolves care about being polite..? Hell, when did you start to care about being polite? Just now. Don't think I'll keep doing it either. Well, first time for everything and it was nice while it lasted, which was a whole two seconds. More like five. Such a difference. Actually yes, yes it is. Not really.. Still a difference. Now I'm gonna slaughter you.. You don't have the heart.....Shut up! Point proven. Nice, you threw that right back at me.. Heh. With that, Hiunmei began eating the buck. A little while later, his tail began to wave, happy to be eating.

"I'm glad to be here Kanna. I wouldn't want anything more or less. It's much easier to handle Hiunmei on days like this with you here."
Kanna looked up at Moriko, a bit surprised at her words. "Onee-chan . . ." She said softly. Kanna then smiled slightly as Moriko turned and pointed a finger at Hiunmei. Wow. Smug, much? . . . That is mean, Shiro. . .[/i]
"HA! I'm not a bad sister after all!! You, were, WRONG!!"[/u]
No . . . I call THAT mean . . . tsk, tsk, tsk. Gloating is so immature . . . But Shiro gloats too . . . so that means Shiro is immature. Oh, shut up, Kanna!!! Let me try to seem smart for once!! Kanna ignored Shiro, and turned to see Hiunmei's reaction -- which wasn't much. He just sat there and stared at Moriko stupidly. Kanna stared at him emotionlessly. "Onee-chan is not a bad sister . . ." Kanna stated blankly, although it was obvious she was protesting because she obviously thought Moriko was good to her. "Why would Hiunmei say that?" Kanna asked Hiunmei innocently, her face and voice emotionally bare as always.
He soon seemed to say something back to her Onee-chan because Moriko spoke to him again after a moment.
"Oh? What do you think you can do?"[/u]
Kanna observed them both curiously as they continued to carry on a half-secret conversation. But Hiunmei must have said something terrifying, because Moriko gasped, flinched, and then hid behind Kanna, promising she'd be good. "What did Hiunmei say, Onee-chan?" Kanna asked blankly, half-worried and half-curious. Hm . . . And it always seems like nothing can scare her . . . yet Hiunmei said something that sparked her to hide behind you . . . yup, she's scared of wolves. Stupid Shiro. Onee-chan is not scared of her friends . . . Maybe not. But something Hiunmei said got her scared . . .[/i]
After a moment, Moriko stood up and lifted her fist confidently into the air.
"Alrighty, cooked it is then!"
Kanna observed as Moriko prepared the food. First, slicing it in a long, large chunks, and then stripping the fur off with her sword. She caught it on fire, and once it was cooked, she balanced a slab of it on the sword's hilt, offering it Kanna. "Wow . . . Onee-chan is amazing." Kanna stated, her face and voice bare of emotion. Still, you could somehow tell she was surprised by how quick and swift her Onee-chan had been. It truley was amazing to Kanna.
"And there you are!"
Kanna placed Shiro, her mirror, down beside her, and took the slab. She soon began to take small bites, nibbling on it here and there. And even though Shiro wasn't in her hands, didn't mean he couldn't talk to her. They were connected -- as one, so they could communicate without contact all they wanted, as long as they weren't too far apart. Hey!! What about me?! I'm the one starving here! But Shiro doesn't have a stomach. Shiro cannot be hungry, nor can he eat. Oh, so I'm just a mere mirror to you?! Nothing more?! No. You are Shiro. And what is THAT supposed to mean?!! You are my friend. Not just a mirror. Shiro was speechless. He had never heard Kanna speak directly to him in first person before, nor had he ever heard Kanna call him her 'friend'. This was one time he could not respond to her, and so he stayed silent, but was happy about Kanna's words.
Kanna continued to nibble on her piece slowly, and observed her Onee-chan and Hiunmei. She noticed Hiunmei was eating and waving his tail happily, but Moriko did not even have her slice yet. She turned to Moriko, and tugged a little at her dress with her free hand, as her other held the meat. "Onee-chan?" she began in a innocent, emotionless tone, "Why are you not eating?"
{{Sorry it's so long. ^^;;}}

Moriko smiled down at Kanna as she said onee-chan. "Hm? Do you need something?" She asked. She knew Kanna probably didn't, she had a habit sometimes of saying onee-chan when she didn't even want anything, but she wanted to make sure.
"Onee-chan is not a bad sister . . ."[/u]
"Aw!" Moriko exclaimed as she hugged Kanna around the waist, kind of tightly. "You're so sweet! Cute too! If you were taller, you'd be taken by a man in a heartbeat! Not that I'd let him though, uh-uh. You date, he gets my approval!" Because we all know you're an expert on men. Damn straight! Wow.. You know, you really shouldn't say things like that, it might anger her. Now why would she get mad? I don't know.. Exactly!
"Why would Hiunmei say that?"[/u]
Hiunmei's ear twitched as his name was mentioned and looked at Kanna, who was giving him an innocent but emotionless face. He just sat there, but Moriko's eyes sparkled as she looked down at her, thinking she was cute, as usual. She then patted Kanna on the head. "Because I forgot how you liked your food.."
"What did Hiunmei say, Onee-chan?"[/u]
Moriko made a small whimper sound and looked at Kanna. "He said he'd make me eat vegetables..!" She whispered as she shivered and made a gagging sound. Hiunmei smirked a bit, wagged his tail and went back to eating. "Jerk.." She mumbled, but his ear twitched and shot a glance her way, making her flinch again.
Kanna then said she was amazing, and Moriko smiled proudly. "I'm glad to see you notice! Unlike some bundle of fur over there.." Hiunmei froze at the words. "bundle of fur." Bundle...of fur?! Yup! Please.. please Kanna don't swell her head anymore! Haha! She can't hear you! Wait.. Hey! That wasn't nice! Who said I was nice?...You win...
Moriko then looked to the side, deep into the forest. She thought she saw movement and couldn't help but feel an odd presence in the air, but it didn't seem to be bothering anything yet, so didn't do anything. She looked back down as she felt someone, Kanna, tug on her clothing. She asked why she wasn't eating. "Oh, I guess I'm not exactly hungry yet." She said with a smile.

"Hm? Do you need something?"[/u]
Moriko smiled at Kanna as she stared down at her. Kanna shook her head slightly. "Onee-chan made Kanna happy." She said emotionlessly, still a soft smile upon her face.
"Aw!" "You're so sweet! Cute too! If you were taller, you'd be taken by a man in a heartbeat! Not that I'd let him though, uh-uh. You date, he gets my approval!"[/u]
Kanna cocked her head curiously to one side after Moriko said this. "What is a date, Onee-chan?" she questioned, innocence on her face and in her voice, yet, Kanna still remained void of emotion. She had never heard this word before, and wondered what it could mean. Oh, come on, Kanna!!! You know . . . like a chocolate covered date . . . such as a small treat, or something sweet. Not that sort of date, Shiro. I think Onee-chan means another type of "date". . . one we do not know of. Hm . . . [/i] Kanna looked up at her Onee-chan as she squeezed her into a hug. Kanna smiled softly, and hugged her back.
Kanna then noticed Hiunmei's ear twitch, and he glanced at her. He just sat there and stared at Kanna while Kanna stared back, pondering why he would have said such mean things to Moriko. Suddenly, she felt a pat on her head, and looked up to see Moriko as she explained that she had forgotten how Kanna liked her food. Kanna stared at her for a blank moment, and then looked back at Hiunmei. "Hiunmei should not call Onee-chan bad over something so silly." Kanna stated, still emotionally bare as always. Yet, you could tell she was taking up for Moriko again.
After a moment, Kanna returned to her food. Kanna nibbled a bit more on her slab, but slowly, taking small pauses. When she was finally done, she glanced back at Moriko. "Thank you for the meal, Onee-chan." Kanna stated, a slight smile gracing her emotionless lips. She truley was grateful. She wished she could do something for her Onee-chan, as many times as she had brought her back and made her food. But what was Kanna capable of doing for Moriko?
After Kanna had asked what Hiunmei had said, Moriko let out a soft whimper.
"He said he'd make me eat vegetables..!"
Moriko then shuddered, making a gagging sound. Kanna cocked her head to one side, her smile faded into curiousity, staring at Moriko blankly for a mere moment before speaking. "Does Onee-chan fear eating vegetables?" Kanna asked with innocence and no emotion. She was new to this information -- and was curious to why her Onee-chan did not like vegetables. Maybe she has a horrid allergy if she eats vegetables! . . . No, I do not think Onee-chan is allergic to food. Well, perhaps she has a phobia for vegetables?! I am uncertain, Shiro. Then, maybe . . .[/i]
Kanna didn't listen to Shiro, and looked back up at Moriko to see her smiling proudly.
"I'm glad to see you notice! Unlike some bundle of fur over there.."[/u]
Kanna smiled a bit at this, happy to have made Moriko glad. She glanced at Hiunmei to see his reaction towards the last bit. Kanna imagined him a bit unhappy -- which he probably was -- and continued to observe the obvious silent conversation between Moriko and Hiunmei. Suddenly, Moriko looked off to the side and into the forest, seeming distant.
"Oh, I guess I'm not exactly hungry yet."[/u]
That's what Moriko had said when Kanna asked her why she wasn't eating. Moriko then smiled, but it seemed weak and fake, like her mind was somewhere else. Kanna stared at Moriko concerningly for a mere moment, wondering what was wrong, and why she was suddenly acting so different. But that's when she sensed it -- a strange emotional presence near the clearing, among the trees. Kanna shifted her gaze into the forest, trying to lock on the emotional presence, but it was faint and she could not find the one who inhabited it, or what type of emotion they were feeling. Nor could she tell who, or possibly what, this person was.
However, Kanna could at least sense the emotional presence of someone lurking among the trees, and she began to feel uneasy -- worried that this person could possibly be a threat. She shot a blank but worried glance back at Moriko, whispering softly, but still void of emotion, and tugged slightly at her sleeve. " Someone is here, Onee-chan. . . "

((**hugs Kanna** she's so cute!! ^^))
"Onee-chan made Kanna happy." [/u]
"Well, onee-chan is glad you're happy." Moriko said as she placed her hand on Kanna's head. Talking third person doesn't suit you, you should leave that to Kanna. Why are you so mean to me today? Gee, I don't know, maybe because you made me carry this whole freakin' heavy-ass buck all the way here on my own!! You never asked for help. I did to! No, you ordered me to help you. There's a difference and I do not take orders from others. Whatever.. Anyway, why does she speak third-person? I don't know actually, never really asked. I don't care, it's cute! What I wanna know is how you know what third-person is.. Hey! I may be an animal but I'm not stupid! Never said you were.
Their conversation ended when Kanna asked what a date was. "Uh, a date?" She thought this over for a second, then inhaled deeply. "It's something I'll tell you when you're taller!" She told her cheerfully. Taller? Well, I'm not sure how old Kanna is, she is immortal after all.((right?)) Oh yeah... Heh heh.. When she does get a date I'm so crashing it! And I'm mean? It's not being mean, it's being sure. Sure of what? ...That.. I.. Shut up. Hiunmei then smirked and bent back down and began eating again.
"Hiunmei should not call Onee-chan bad over something so silly."[/u]
Hiunmei froze and his ears fell flat. "Oh, Hiunmei can't help it, it's his own little way of showing affection. Plus, he's mad at me for making him drag the deer back on his own. Just goes to show how much he truly needs me, isn't that right, Hiunmei? After all, without me here to save his sorry little butt, he would've died a long time ago." Shut up! I was just a pup, how was I supposed to take care of myself!? Relax, I was simply kidding. Well, don't bring it up! You know I don't like talking about my history!! Alright alright, I won't say anymore.
"Does Onee-chan fear eating vegetables?"[/u]
"Of course! It is the worst, most disgusting thing a person could eat! Ugh, it's probably poison growing straight from the ground! I'm sure if it could, it would take over the world and as punishment, sacrifice themselves by shoving themselves down someone's throat! Oh, I would absolutely die within five seconds in a world like that!" She said as she placed her hand on her forehead and leaned back a bit to exaggerate it more. Wow, someone's making too big of a production out of this. Am not! It is the utmost, honest truth! No it's not.. Now stop feeding her lies like that or you'll end up scaring her.
Now even Hiunmei could feel the presence of someone nearby, so stopped eating and licked his chops to try and get the blood off. He looked in the same direction Moriko had and still is, until she felt a tug on her sleeve. Looking down, she listened as Kanna told her someone was here. She smiled and patted her head. "I know..." She told her as she stood in front of Kanna defensively like she always did when someone they didn't know was nearby. That's when the presence made it's way into the clearing. It was a man with blond messy hair, wearing a white T-shirt and camo pants. Normally he would have been no threat to Moriko, that is, if he wasn't armed with a gun. It was a weapon here on Earth that she wasn't familiar with. Actually, he was armed with many more weapons, such as daggers, bow and arrow, more guns, ninja stars and a few more things she didn't know.
"Finally I found someone That obviously.." The man said as he pulled his gun out. "Isn't human." Well they did look different from humans, so it was quite easy to tell that. "And you would be..?" Moriko asked as she gave the man a bored look. "Demon Hunter." H e told her as he pulled the trigger. In a swift movement though, Kanna and her where in a completely different place than where the bullet was shot at. "I was hoping for a name, but it seems like you're not interested in introductions. Shame, you really should know the name of the one who's going to kill you." She told him as she placed Kanna down and drew her sword. "So, I'll introduce myself. I'm Moriko Aki, and you'll be dying by my hands." She held the sword up to her face and the man just scoffed. "As if-" The man's eyes popped open as she was already next to him, swinging the sword. He barely dodged it. "No fair!" He yelled as he put his gun away and drew his own sword. Idiot thinks he can beat me sparring with swords? Dumb ass.. "It is completely fair. You shot without warning, I attacked without warning, simple." She told him as their swords clashed and continued on. Hiunmei trotted over to Kanna to protect her, but he was met by a hunting dog. He then had his own little fight to take care of.
The only thing Moriko did not expect, was another man she hadn't sensed. He had appeared behind Kanna and picked her up. "Kanna!" Moriko yelled as she tried to go for her, but stopped when a trigger pulled again and scratched her arm. She stopped, looked at her arm, then turned her glare on the man who was smirking. "You ain't leaving, I'm not done with you." He said. "You're a coward. I should've known it was Kanna you wanted from the start, so I'll admit I'm pretty stupid for not finding that out, but it's also apparent that you have no confidence in your abilities as a demon hunter otherwise you wouldn't have came so armed and you wouldn't need distractions, either. You also hoped that Kanna being captivated would take a great effect on me and make me weaker, but you're wrong." She said as fire began to fly and her eyes turned auburn. "It only makes me stronger." In another swift movement , the sword met the guy's skin across his stomach and also burned him. Moriko began to go after the man holding Kanna, but stopped when he held a gun to her head.

{{ Haha! I know! I love role-playing her! ^^
Kanna: **Smiles a bit as Yuzuki hugs**}}
Kannna grinned slightly as Moriko placed a hand on her head and told Kanna she was glad to make her happy. Ya know . . . it's weird, but Moriko is starting to remind me of Akane. . . and third person really doesn't fit her. Shiro . . . I do not wish to talk about Onee-sama like that. Onee-chan and Onee-sama do not resemble each other at all. You still miss Akane, don't ya?[/i]
"Uh, a date?" "It's something I'll tell you when you're taller!"
That's what Moriko told Kanna when she had asked what a date was. Kanna smiled innocently, and softly muttered an emotionless, yet somewhat happy "Okay, Onee-chan.". See!! I told you it was a treat!! IN YOUR FACE! Onee-chan said she would tell me what it is when I become taller. That does not mean it is the same type of "date", Shiro. It must still be something we do not know of. Oh . . .
"Oh, Hiunmei can't help it, it's his own little way of showing affection. Plus, he's mad at me for making him drag the deer back on his own. Just goes to show how much he truly needs me, isn't that right, Hiunmei? After all, without me here to save his sorry little butt, he would've died a long time ago."[/u]
Kanna noticed how Hiunmei's ears fell flat, and looked back at Moriko as she explained and answered Kanna's question. Kanna was silent for a long moment, staring at Moriko, considering and pondering her words. But after a brief silence, she stood up and walked over to Hiunmei. Her face void of emotion, she stared at him for a long moment just as she did previously with Moriko. Then, suddenly, she hugged the wolf. "Gomenesai, Hiunmei. Kanna misunderstood Hiunmei before." After a moment, Kanna let go of Hiunmei, hoping under her emotionless exterior that he would forgive her. Wow . . . this is different. VERY different. Ya sure you're not intoxicated, Kanna?! I misunderstood Hiunmei. You are very mean, Shiro. What? I'm just sayin' that this is very unusual for you! You don't go off just huggin' anybody! I mean, Moriko I'm used to! But THIS?! It's abnormal! Hiunmei is our friend, Shiro. That is very mean of you to say. Ha! How do you know, huh?! He could eat you! And then I would be all alone! I'm not bein' mean! I'm bein' honest! Hiunmei is our friend. He would not harm me, Shiro. Do not say that. FINE! But I won't be there at your funeral! And I'll never get to say "I told you so"! Shiro is being very inconsiderate and silly. Bad Shiro. Kanna then hit her mirror slightly. Ow! And you say I'M mean! Kanna ignored Shiro, looking up to see her Onee-chan's answer to her vegitable question.
Of course! It is the worst, most disgusting thing a person could eat! Ugh, it's probably poison growing straight from the ground! I'm sure if it could, it would take over the world and as punishment, sacrifice themselves by shoving themselves down someone's throat! Oh, I would absolutely die within five seconds in a world like that!" [/u]
Kanna cocked her head to the side in observation of her Onee-chan. "Can vegitables take over the world?" Kanna asked wilth mild curosity. Of course they can't, ya dunderhead! Kanna ignored him, and turned to see a scary-looking man jumped out from behind the tress. Kanna may have been void of emotion, but fear was evident on her face.
She watched as Moriko and the Demon Hunter fought. Hiumei battled a hunting dog. She took a few steps back. Shrio was freaking out, telling Kanna to run. But she wouldn't. She couldn't. She had to stay with Onee-chan.
Suddenly, she felt someone take her, pick her up and captivate her in their hold. In the process, Shiro was knocked out of her hands and landed on the ground."Shiro!" She reached for him, but he was out her reach. She looked to see who wouldn't let her go -- a Demon Hunter. In that instant, she became even more terrified on the inside. Kanna! Use one your powers! Don't worry about me! Shrio was beginning to weep now. This was just like last time... only worse. Onee-chan could get hurt.
"Kanna!"
The white girl glanced over at her Onee-chan. She could feel her emotions -- fear encircling with anger. "Onee-chan!" she called back, slight fear in her voice. Anger suddenly engulfed Onee-chan's fear and she came after Kanna after slicing her combatant with her flaming sword.
Kanna's eyes widened when she saw her holder point a gun at her Moriko. "No." she said blatantly, slight fear tinting her voice again. Inside, she was petrified. So, she did the only thing she could do without Shiro.... she began to absorb the man's emotions, making him emotionally numb so he wouldn't be able to feel. Perhaps if he was unable to feel, he wouldn't pull the trigger. Kanna could only hope.
