Negative Space (Zell/Open)

This is all your fault! C'mon! How was I 'pose to know that us goin' on a late night snack fest was gonna get us here? Because you always want something sweet! So we just escape... We're on a space ship!!! How can we escape! Actually, we're on an hostile alien planet... That doesn't help does it? ... Whatever. We always get out of tough situations so this shouldn't be any different. 'Cept we're in space... On a hostile planet.

Fate Lingod sighed to himself. Why did stuff like this happen to him? Because he had the worst luck of all. He looked around at his environment. He was in shackles which he was sure he didn't have strength to break. They was other that look to be prisoners also since they were in the same shackles as Fate. Three of the prisoners seemed to be inhabitants of this very planet. They must be being punished for some crime or something. Honestly, Fate wasn't fond of the inhabitants appearances. They looked to be large insect/humaniod type creatures. The other seemed to be a giant, about eight feet high, whose body was made of stone. He had to be strong yet it would seem he wasn't strong enough to break the shackles. Then there was robot. No, more like an android. He looked like one of those robots from that one movie (iRobot) with that Will Smith guy. Lastly, they seemed to be a girl (Zell). She looked to be human, but Fate wasn't sure. He was sure that she was fairly attractive though. So how did Fate end up here?

After having a midnight run to the local store he was heading back home. Then there was a bright light from the sky. He was blinded and when he came too he was here in shackles. He still had everything he had on him when he was kidnapped. So what did they want with him? He wondered if these people knew english or any human langage... Only one way to find out. "So... um... Where are we and why am I... Why are we here? What we do to be locked up like this?" It was silent for moment before the stone guy spoke. His voice was very deep. "We're prisoners. We've been choosen to fight."

"What? Come again sir."

"It's been some time since I been to your home planet. But I believe you humans would call it gladitors. We're forced to fight for entertainment of the inhabitants of this planet. Seeing as they went so far to get you they must believe you two are going to be a great form of entertainment."

"...Seriously. Well, this sucks. I should have stayed at home, but nooo! I had to get some freak'n skittles!"

Zell sat there quietly not saying a word. When they captured me I was walking home. Now I'm here next to all these creeps. That guy over there looks human... and he's rather cute. Wait, what am I saying? Who knows where he's from. I have no interest in talking to any of these creeps. She clenched her fists tighter. To tell the truth Zell was actually quite afraid. She didn't know who or what these other people are. She didn't want to say anything to them to keep herself safe.
"So... um... Where are we and why am I... Why are we here? What we do to be locked up like this?"
She jumped a bit when he started speaking from the silence. The stone looking guy talked next.
"We're prisoners. We've been choosen to fight."
She looked down at this. A prisoner who is chosen to fight, OH GREAT. She clenched her teeth.
"It's been some time since I been to your home planet. But I believe you humans would call it gladitors. We're forced to fight for entertainment of the inhabitants of this planet. Seeing as they went so far to get you they must believe you two are going to be a great form of entertainment."
She looked up at the stone guys still trying hard not to say anything. She was getting angry so she was trying hard not to speak.
"...Seriously. Well, this sucks. I should have stayed at home, but nooo! I had to get some freak'n skittles!"
Zell was brought to her last limit. "Well that was pretty stupid of you. Why would you go out this late just to buy skittles? If you ask me it's your own fault you're stuck on here so stop your whining you big baby."

She didn't really mean that she was just scared and angry she was taken from her home and was going to be forced to fight. I guess if I'm going to be able to get home, I'm going to have to cooperate and do whatever it takes. She looked back over at the boy she yelled at. "So you're from earth like me huh? Why would they take you into this freaky thing? What powers do you have? Most importantly what is your name?" She always asked people a lot of questions when she first meets them. Really she was just trying to get her mind off of everything which usually she doesn't do often.

Someone has an attitude problem. Ten cookies says she was at that same store to get some skittles. She mad at us 'cause we got the last pack... Ya listenin'!? No, I am not. I am busy trying to think of a way for us to get out of here! Fate stared at the Zell chick with a blank expression. What the hell was her problem? Fate wasn't whining. If anything, he was just trying to be funny and lighten the mood. Seeing as she knew what skittles were this chick must have been human. "...I was hungry. I wanted something sweet." He paused for a second. Why was he explaining his actions to a complete strange, especially one being a jerk. Everyone got here somehow. He would just leave the girl be. He returned his gaze to the stone man. Fate needed more information and he was going to get it from this man. But then the girl spoke again. She seemed more polite this time when she spoke though.

"Yeah, i'm from earth. I don't know why they would want to take me. I guess they're running low on entertainers. Anyway, i'm Fate Lingod. To put it simple: I'm an electrical capacitor. Anything with electricity I can control or manipulate..." He firgured after he answered her questions she would answer her own questions for him. Though his electricity was strong he knew it couldn't break through these shackles. He would have to wait to see how things panned out before planning an escape.

The stone man looked at the girl and then back at Fate. He could tell that she was scared and that Fate was thinking. More than likely how he was going to get out of here. He would introduce themselves. "I am Brute. Unlike you two humans my ship crash landed on this planet. My brothers and I put up a fight, but we were soon defeated and here I am. I assume my brothers have been taken to another cell. We call the robot Bot. He's was also on my ship, but taken prisoner." He then pointed to the three inhabitants of the planet and was getting ready to talk when one call him off. The one that spoke looked and sounded to be female. She was a light tan color unlike the other two who were brown with a more massive body build.

"We can speak for ourselves Brute. Thank you. Our races is called the Echelons. This planet is divided into two. We have the king and his empire. Then there's the resistence. I am the leader of that resistence. I am Kya. These two with me are Sabo and Tage. We were caught and now we have to fight in the colliseum as punishment."

Fate sighed. Well, if he lived through this he would have a story to tell his grandkids in the future. "Well, uh, it's nice to meet you all. I just wished it was a more pleasant situation," He laughed slightly, "When do I get my free phone call?" Maybe now wasn't the best time. But he couldn't let his emotions get the best of him. He had one problem on his hand and he didn't need Glory as another. "So..."

"If you can win three battles you all we go free. Unfortunately, the same doesn't apply for us. We resistance members will be put to death even if we win."

"We're going to have to work together if we want to survive. There's no escaping. So don't bother trying to come up with a plan for that. Focus on winning and staying alive."

Zell looked down at her feet. Wow what a great impression I just gave everyone. I'm letting my emotions get the better of me. She looked over at the guy who she yelled at and saw him staring at her. She immediately looked back down.
"...I was hungry. I wanted something sweet."
She bit her lip from saying anything and looked up at him. Her stomach growled. I'm hungry too. I hope no one heard that.

She looked over to him as he began to answer her questions. Wow an electrical capacitor, he could electrocute me. I hope I don't end up having to fight him. Then again knowing my luck I probably will. I guess I just won't use my water control. "My name is Zell Sham and I can control water, I'm also skilled in martial arts. I know a little bit of other magic but I never use it."

She looked over at him. That's sad being attacked like that is unfair. The next girl spoke that was a light tan color.

"Me and that boy... I mean Fate have done nothing wrong to be prisoners, we were just minding our own business!" They seemed to look at her as she sat down.

"Well, uh, it's nice to meet you all. I just wished it was a more pleasant situation, when do I get my free phone call?"
This really doesn't seem like anytime to joke around Fate. But at least you're trying to feel better. I can't make myself feel better even if i tried. I'm so weak to my emotions.
"If you can win three battles you all we go free. Unfortunately, the same doesn't apply for us. We resistance members will be put to death even if we win."
"But that's not fair! You should be like everyone else and be freed if you win!" Zell has always been against killing for no reason. "Well I guess I'm going to end up dying in the end my lucky day!"

"Well, nice to meet you, Ms. Sham," He smiled, "Controlling water is pretty cool... unless it was hot water." After hearing everyone's story it seemed that they had no choice, but to count on each other. She said colliseum! Great. They really were gladitors. He could mark that off his things to do before he died. No use crying over it now. He was here and he be damned if he was going to die on anything that wasn't his home planet. He looked at Zell and shrugged his shoulders.

"Yeah, no use worrying about it now. We're here and as Rocky said we need to focus on winning. Three fights we get outta here. That shouldn't be so hard since you can control water and I have that electricity. I'm pretty sure Rocky is pretty strong and the others... Well, they seemed to know what they're doing." Yes, Fate had already developed a nice name for Brute. It was Rocky. Fate thought it to be cleaver since the man was made of stone.

"Rocky... I like it. You, Fate, don't seem to be scared. You must be extremely powerful or just extremely stupid."

"Well, I don't consider myself extremely powerful nor do I believe I am stupid. I just live in the moment. Me being scared isn't going to change the fact that we're here. Besides, when I get scared bad things happen." Very bad things. As Zell started to speak again, Fate shrugged. It wasn't fair just as she said, but that was life. She should have known life wasn't fair since she lives on earth. Unless she was one of those spoiled brats sho got everything they wanted. "Hey, hey. We have three fights ahead of us Ms. Sham. I think it's best we worry about getting through this first trial." Though Fate wasn't for killing it did make sense. Why would they let resistance members live? That was just foolish. And rotting in a prison didn't seem all that fun so maybe death was best. He shook his head, trying not to think about that. "C'mon. We don't need negative talk Ms. Sham. Just stay behind me and i'll protect you."

"Ms. Sham?!" Zell said with a fairly angry face. Not that she had anything against it she just didn't often like using formal terms. She looked around and at the structure. I wonder where we are heading anyways. If people even of these types were captured along with me and Fate then this must be a pretty dangerous entertainment course they are asking for. I can't stand it when I'm used. It happens so much. She looked down hiding her eyes with her hair.
"Yeah, no use worrying about it now. We're here and as Rocky said we need to focus on winning. Three fights we get outta here. That shouldn't be so hard since you can control water and I have that electricity. I'm pretty sure Rocky is pretty strong and the others... Well, they seemed to know what they're doing."
This made Zell look up and over at Fate. Rocky? He must be good at coming up with nicknames.. She looked over at Fate and then at the others. I guess we could put up a fight good enough by working together. I have to admit I don't want to fight Fate. I have a feeling he doesn't like me much and his ability is lightning and mine is water and those two don't exactly mix. She started to imagine the image of her getting electrocuted by Fate and shivered a bit.

"C'mon. We don't need negative talk Ms. Sham. Just stay behind me and i'll protect you."
Zell turned around with a red face. "Hey enough with the formal talk! And I don't need you to protect me! I'm strong enough to handle things myself and... I'm yelling for no reason." She looked down feeling her face getting hot. All he said is he'd protect me and for me to stand behind him. All I seem to be doing is making enemies. She examined the floor. Before this night is over I'm going to be the they end up going after and getting rid of. I won't even have to wait for losing one challenge. I'll just be killed in the middle of it. She frowned thinking of that.

Fate just stared at Zell with that same blank expression he gaved her earlier. She still had that attitude. What did Fate do to her to make her angry at him. He thought he was being nice and respectful. She's scared. Thank you captain obvious. You're such a marshmellow. Anyway, what's the plan? ... Fight and win. That sounds simple. Yes, Fate understood she was scared. But her taking out her anger on him wasn't going to change anything. He just sighed and thought it would be best to ignore her first comment.

But then she went off again. So much for team moral. Fate's guess was she left that back home. "Alright, alright. Whatever you say boss," He smiled at Zell, "I never said you wasn't strong... I was trying to be nice and calm you." Fate would just let her go off into her own little world. He didn't have time to worry about someone who seemed to be pushing herself away from them.

"Are all female humans as rude as this one?"

"She's just a little scared Kya," Fate spoke, "It's not everyday we're on an alien planet force to fight for their entertainment."

"Even so, we do not have time to be scared. Her fear might be our downfall. So push all that to the side girl or you might as well do yourself a favor and end your life now."

Rocky was right. Fate would have worded it differently, more nicely, but Rocky was right. He was silent for a moment, trying to let Rocky's words sink into Zell's head. He figured he let Rocky take the leadership role. He seemed strong, calm, and intelligent. All traits of a leader, Fate though. But before Fate could open his mouth the prison doors slowly opened, with a blaring sound. A large number of Echelons decked in full armed was standing in the doorway. They had high-tech weaponry. They looked to be like guns of some sort. The guards released the chain that connected the prisoners to the wall. But didn't bother to release the shackles around their arms and legs. "Come on. It's time to put on that show."

One of the guards pushed Sabo to get the group moving. Fate was silent as he walked down the hallway. The whole time he was examining the guards high-tech guns. It was unlike anything the boy seen. Not even SAPHYRE had technology like this. He pretended to lose his balance and fell to the side onto one of the guards. The guard pushed him off and pushed him again to keep Fate moving. Truthfully, Fate was trying to get a feel of what the armor the guards was wearing. They came to a sudden stop as the guards took the shackles off one by one. "Be gone. If you're lucky one or two of you might come out alive. I doubt it though." The doors that led to the coliseum opened.

First off, it was huge! Fate had never seen anything like this. You could hear the screaming chants of the crowd. They was no escaping this place it seemed. It was enclosed in some type of glass structure. The ground seemed cold and stripped of any plant left. Fate tagged at his goggles for a moment. "At least we have space to breathe..." He said, "Anyway, I meant to ask you how this whole fighting system work... We don't fight each other, right?" Fate then slapped himself on the head. That was a stupid question! Why would Rocky be talking about team work if they were just going to fight each other!

"No. We do not fight each other. But there's no telling what that King would put us up against to fight."

Zell calmed a bit after Fate said he was trying to calm her down. Her face was a bit red after that. She was sort of angered at him for calling her boss. What am I trying to do? Make it certain I die. She looked down at her feet.
"Are all female humans as rude as this one?"
"Even so, we do not have time to be scared. Her fear might be our downfall. So push all that to the side girl or you might as well do yourself a favor and end your life now."
This made her eyes widen a bit. She began slumping more down. She was trying to hold back a little bit of tears. That kind of hurt, but hey it's my own damn fault for being rude and so demanding. She hid her eyes with her hair and looked over at Fate. He seemed to waiting for her to do something.

She began to move her feet around trying to think of something to say. I should apologize. Fate knows I'm scared but he must feel the same way as these other people. I have to realize that they have problems too not just me. Now that I think about it I am very selfish talking the way I was earlier. But of all the people I feel the worst about yelling at is Fate. I should at least try to apologize to him first. She took in a breath and began to speak but the door suddenly opened startling Zell a bit. She looked over at their weapons. I've never seen anything like this before. The people in this place with me aren't monsters, they are. She turned her head over to Fate and he seemed to be examining the weapons as well. "Fa..." She stopped herself. Great now I feel locked up again. I can't get a word out. She looked at the Echelons as they released all the chains from them.

She began to follow the creatures that had released them down the pathway they were leading them. Fate began to lose his balance and fall on one of them. She tried to reach out to him but something kept her arm from moving. If he's not careful they will have his head chopped up for "threatening" them. When the doors opened she listened as the Echelon spoke.
"Be gone. If you're lucky one or two of you might come out alive. I doubt it though."
She clenched her teeth together. She walked in with her head still low watching the ground pass her feet. She looked up a bit and looked around the crowd and the structure they were in. Huge. I wonder how these aliens created such a dome? The cheering of the crowd hurt her ears a bit and she squinted her eyes a bit. As she listened to Fate's question she began to imagine what it would be like fighting Fate once more. When she came back to herself she had a face of mock fright. "Uh..."
"No. We do not fight each other. But there's no telling what that King would put us up against to fight."
She then tried to picture what they would be fighting. If these things look like this then there really is no telling what the things we're fighting are gonna look like. She finally moved her head up from the place she had been resting it and finally turned to Fate. If I'm going to apologize I better do it now. She took in two deep breaths and began to stutter a bit. "F..Fate, listen... I mean please listen.." I still sound like I'm bossing him around. "I'm really sorry I yelled at you earlier. I'm sorry to everyone but I don't mind if you really want to....protect me." She began mumbling under her breath. "Way to go Zell make it sound like you're trying to lure him in." She looked at the ground again. "I was being stupid and rude and I feel really bad and..." She was interrupted by a big sound that made her turn around quickly.

So they didn't have to fight each other. That was great. Fate wasn't sure if he would have been able to fight against any of these people. Not that he couldn't. He just considered them his friends, even Zell. He was sure if this was a more pleasant situation that Zell would have been cool and relaxed. When Zell apologized Fate shook his head no. "Forget it. No need for saying sorry and all that stuff. Let's just get through this Zell." He reached into his right pants' pocket and pulled out a bag of skittles. He tossed them to Zell and smiled. "Heard your stomach growling earlier. It isn't much but you can have them."

Ay! Whatcha doin'! Ya have to give them all to her? We couldn't share... She's hungry. Stop crying. When we get out of here i'll buy us some more. We're gonna die! At least we could have died happy while eatin' those skittles. Chill. None of us are dying. Stay positive. 'Kay. I'm very positive ya gave our skittles away!!!!!

As Zell started to speak more she was interrupted by a big sound. Fate turned around also. He tilted his head to the side for a moment as it was nothing, but smoke. But then he started to see a figure through the smoke. As the smoke faded away the beast appearance begin to show. Fate nearly fell over seeing how large and scary it looked. "Wh-what the hell is that!?"

"... It's... It's the Murte!"

Brute was also shocked. The Murte had to be taller than a three story house! Fate shook himself to get rid of the fear he was feeling... It was still there. But he would have to pull himself together. They had to defeat this thing! Fate would hate to see what they had to fight next. "Alright. Split up. If we're all together it would be easy for it to get up all." The beast looked slow, but given its size it could easily reach them in a few steps... Maybe in one leap.

"Bot and I will try to draw it's attention!" Rocky said as he and Bot ran forward toward the beast. The three Echelons picked up their swords that were given to them by the guards. Yeah, those swords weren't going to be very effective against a creature that size. "Alright. Kay, Sabo, Tage, and Zell stick together. You can use your water abilities at a distance, Zell?"

Before they could even finish putting their plan in motion Fate was nearly taken out by a piece of strap metal. He fell to the side just in time only to be cut on the arm a little. But when he took a closer look at the metal he realized it was one of Bot's legs. He looked up to see the beast had ripped Bot into three. Fate pushed himself back to his feet. Brute was hit so hard by the beast's tail that it sent him flying back and sliding, stopping before he just reached Zell's feet. If he didn't have that stone body Brute would have been more than likely dead. "It's COMING!"

The beast leaped into the air, launching itself at his prey. "Get up big man! Fate said to Brute. As he said that he ran and grabbed Zell's hand, trying to lead her away before the beast landed (Sorry, mod'd a bit here). The beast's impact on the ground cause dust and debris to fly up, blinding Fate for a moment. When it cleared he was pleased to see that the three Echelons and Brute had got away in time. "You okay?" He asked Zell, "I mean you're not hurt or anything?" Fate's eyes went from their purple color to the crimson, meaning his powers were now active. He was angry that the beast had killed Bot. Fate didn't know him. The beast than turned toward the three Echelons and Brute. Fate ran forward, picking up Bot's leg as he moved. He charged the leg with electricity and launched it at the beast. It landed right beside the beast's back left leg. After a short moment a explosion of crimson electricity occured, capturing the beast's leg. The beast let out a roar in pain as his foot was now bleeding slightly. "If it bleeds! It can die!" He yelled, trying to give his comrads hope. The beast turned his head in Fate's direction and opened its mouth. Fate had a feeling he made it angry. Out from the mouth came a gust of wind so powerful that it knocked Fate off his feet easily. Fate hit the ground hard, getting the air knocked out of him. Now's not the time to get winded... Ya get it? .... .... Too early for the jokes? ...Sorry, but ya got to admit that was a good one!

(I was too last to decribe it so this is what the beast looks like. ^_^;

As Fate threw the skittles at her she caught them and looked down at them not knowing what to do or say.
"Heard your stomach growling earlier. It isn't much but you can have them."
Zell's face reddened a bit but she completely forgot about it as a figure took place in the smoke. She squinted her eyes trying to get a better view of the creature that was appearing. She was almost thrown back with surprise when she saw the creature appear. She looked over at Fate who seemed to have the same emotion on his face as her. She stared back at the creature and grasped what was going on. This is no time to happily enjoy these skittles, I'll put them away for now. Right now it's time to worry about that ugly thing.

She continued watching as Brute and Bot took off toward the enormous demon. She spaced Fate out as she studied the creature. They said it was called Murte. I wonder if that means something here on this planet. She began to think of what it could mean. Maybe it means killer or assassin! Maybe it could mean demon.....creature.....how about horns or blood. I don't know why the name Murte makes me think of things like this. Maybe it's because Murte sounds like a bad name to me. She shook herself from thought and looked over at Fate to listen to him finish his plan. Before he could finish it a metal scrap of something came flying at them. "What was that!?" She turned to look at everyone to see if anyone got hurt and saw that Fate was cut on the arm a bit. "Fate are you alright! You're arm is cut!" She waited for a response and realized what he was staring at. The scrap metal was Bot. That thing... killed Bot.. She turned around as she heard a slamming sound. She looked down at Brute as he landed in front of her. "Brute!" She was in a dumbfounded state when Fate grabbed her had pulling her away. She was tugged a bit and then she began to follow him.

She looked around as the dust and debris blinded her for a moment. She turned to see Fate's eyes turning a different color.
"You okay?"
She looked at him for a minute trying to figure out how to reply.
"I mean you're not hurt or anything?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, yeah I'm fine how about you." She watched as he took off in the direction of the beast. She tried to yell out his name but couldn't get her voice to activate. Then suddenly she remembered him asking her if she could use her water ability. Not thinking about how late it was before he asked her she turned around and yelled toward him. "Fate I can't use my water abilities unless there is a supply of water around!!" She looked around trying to find some water. Not finding any she turned her attention toward the beast. She saw as Fate attacked the beast and saw as he strike a bit of blood from it's foot.
"If it bleeds! It can die!"
She nodded in agreement. But we do have to think that that big of a creature with that thick of skin has a lot of blood. It's gonna take more than just a slit on the foot to kill it. She watched as the beast blew Fate over. She widened her eyes a bit and tried to run toward him to help, but her feet wouldn't move. They remained planted in the ground from where she was standing. Damn feet! Why don't you ever listen!? She looked up and watched the beast then turned her eyes to Fate. "Hey Fate!! You alright!!"

She turned to look at the demon. Even though it may not look like I'm going to do anything in this battle, but if I stay here out of the trouble, I can watch this beast and watch how he fights. Then we can all aim toward his weak points and then win. She observed how the beast attacked and his defensive movements. It seems to like to use it's tail to form a second attack after it's first attack. I wonder if it's a way he gets balance after a first attack? Maybe so, but it could also be a shield too. I bet if we can somehow stop him from using his tail the second after his first attack, he'll be vulnerable for a second!

She began to hear people from the crowd yelling at her telling her she was a cheater and a cold-hearted person. She mumbled under her breath a bit. They began yelling at her more. She growled and turned around with her face red with anger. "Hey you wanna know who's cold-hearted!!!? You stupid aliens are!! What kind of people just takes people from their homes to put them in some kind of circus show or something to you people!! Absolutely horrible cold-hearted cheaters if you ask me! Hmpf!" She turned around only to hear some guards yelling at her. "Huh... Wha...WHAT!!" They began running toward her with spear looking weapons. "GAH!!" She turned around and ran away from them as they began chasing after her. She heard the crowd start laughing at her and she grew a bit agitated. "Okay, okay I'll fight that demon like creature!!"

She turned and ran toward Fate and suddenly ran over a somewhat colder area then the others. She looked down and was that there was an ice like substance. "Huh, is that... WATER!!" She turned to look at Fate and the others as they fought the creature. Underneath the ground there must be some kind of water-like substance. I don't think any of them are strong enough to break the ground but that creature probably can! If I can distract it long enough and get it to aim toward the ground and then break it. Then I can help out by using the water! She ran toward Fate to tell him about her discoveries. "Fate! Fate I have an idea!"

At the moment Fate couldn't hear anything. His ears were ringing to loudly. Still, he could feel the ground tremble as the beast moved. He raised up slowly, rubbing the back of his head. "'Kay, I won't be taking another hit like that..." As Brute and the others distracted the beast Fate took this time to slowly pull himself together. There was no way they could be something like this... No, if he thought like that he might as well just kill himself. He snapped back to when he heard Zell's voice. "Yeah, yeah. Ideas are nice. So what is it?"

Truthfully, Fate was up for just about any idea. Since the first plan had failed and someone had died already. Brute picked up one of the swords and stabbed the beast in it's right foot. It unleashed another loud roar before kicking Brute away. He's so stone'd... Still not time for jokes? Fate did wonder how much of a beating Brute could take. He was made of stone, but what would happen if something was to break? Could they fix it? He charged some electricity into the palm of both of his hands, still waiting to hear Zell's idea before he did anything.

As she ran over to Fate she watched as he seemed to slowly pull himself back together. She finally reached him and put her hands on her knees and began taking in a few breaths. "Man! You really get tired while running when you start running by being caught off guard." She looked up at him and slowly stood up gaining back her strength. "Alright I came up with two plans and they go like this. First off while I was observing the monster I realized it likes to attack with it's tail after a first attack. I don't know why he does it whether it's to make a stronger attack, defense, or to gain balance I don't know but that attack is what puts it back into it's original stance which is a defensive stance. If we can all work together to somehow stop it's second attack it'll be vulnerable. But I'm not sure we have enough man power or strength to do that." She looked over at Brute who seemed to be having a hard time and she clenched her fists.

Looking back at Fate she began again. "Then I realized that below the surface there is water or some kind of liquid. I bet that if we can somehow get the beast's attention toward us we can use his second attack to break the surface and then I can get to the water and use it." She turned her head a bit and got a sparkle in her eyes. "Not to brag but I'm pretty skilled when it comes to my water abilities. Hehe." She looked back over at Fate. "I'm just kidding but I am good I bet I can at least do something with my water abilities. So what do you think Fate? Should we try one of the plans?"

Fate raised his hand and gave her a thumbs up. "How about we try both? But we should go with your second idea first. We could really use your water abilities." Maybe they didn't need the beast to break the surface. Fate placed his hand on the ground, getting a feel for it. This was just like earth's concrete! He stood up and cuffed his hands to his mouth to ready and shout to Brute and the others. "You guys hold him off for a moment! We got a plan!" Fate right arm was covered with electricity. This, of course, drew the beast's attention. The beast must have had the intellect of a small child to have it's attention easily swayed. Fate was planning on striking the ground with his electricity to get to the water. It would have been much easier than trying to dodge the beast's attack. "Alright... Let's see if we can get you that water Zell."

Fate raised his arm and waited for the beast. As the beast got near Fate pointed his hand and fired of a large bolt of electricity that shocked the beast. It shocked the beast and stopped it in its tracks. "So how old are you Zell? Betcha your family worried sick about you," He said, trying to make small conversation. Now wasn't the time, but Fate had to stay calm. "And here it comes. Ready to dodge" Fate quickly jumped to the side as the beast swung it's tail. The impact on the ground from the tail caused dirt and debris to come up. They was a large crack where the beast's tail had hit. That was a great start. Another roar could be heard from the beast. Fate looked up to see Brute on its back with a sword in the beast neck. "Whatever it is you two are planning it's beast you do it quick."

"Step back please... I don't want to hurt you by accident." Fate charged more electricity in his hand until it formed into a ball about the side of a soft ball. He tossed it in the crack that the beast made and a few seconds later an explosion occured, causing the crack to grow and break deeper. He repeated the process why Brute and the three Echelons kept the beast busy. Finally, he could hear what seemed like water. He walked over to the hole, well more like crater now, to see it filling up with muddy water. "Well, it's not the prettiest water, but can you work with it?"

Zell watched as Fate started to put the plan into motion.
"How about we try both? But we should go with your second idea first. We could really use your water abilities."
Zell nodded at that and decided that that would be the better idea. As Fate began to activate his powers Zell felt the vibrations of the beast coming toward them. It's coming.
"So how old are you Zell? Betcha your family worried sick about you,"
Zell was caught off guard by that and almost jumped a foot in the air but turned to face him hoping he didn't notice. "I'm 15 and uh...well..Fate...........I don't have a family..." She didn't really know how to respond to that. So she said the first thing that came to her mind. "So what about you? Is your family worried and how old are you?" When the beast finally reached them she jumped out of the way and immediately looked around for Fate to make sure he was okay as well. When she saw him she relieved herself.

Finally she hit the ground again and ran over to the crack the beast put in the ground. Fate began to crack it more as the beast roared again Zell looked up to see what had happened. Brute had stuck a sword in to it's neck and was getting them some time which she was thankful to have. Finally Fate broke the crack and made a crater and she looked down at the water inside of it.
"Well, it's not the prettiest water, but can you work with it?"/u]
"Yeah sure I can work with anything that is a liquid like water." She began to move her hands around and the water began to rise as she heard the beast again. "It's coming again!" She jumped out of the way and began to pull the water out of the crater. "You can't move if you're frozen you big ugly monster!" She wrapped the water around it's two back legs and froze them in place. She then created a little board underneath her feet to sort of surf around on. Finally she was able to freeze it's tail in place. "Fate! Everyone! Now's your chance!!"

"Sixteen years and I don't have a family either," Fate shrugged, "But there someone waiting for me back on earth." Yeah, he couldn't die here! He had someone to get home too. Someone that he planned on marrying if she wanted to marry. It was nice to see Zell more lively. As the water turned to ice Fate shrugged. This was their chance. Brute and the three Echelons joined Zell and Fate.

"There's the matter of it's skin still being tough. What are we to do about that?" That was true. No, telling how long that would take. Fate sighed. Sometimes he wished he would put himself first before others. "Alright... I got an idea... Pretty stupid... But I think it will work.... Hopefully...." He smiled and gave them the thumbs up. Yeah, this was usually the sign that he was going to do something extremely dangerous. "Well, I got an idea, but it's extremely dangerous..." He said, "I let the monster eat me and destroy from the inside out."
