Kasumi smiled at Beast Boy, glad he hadn't taken it offensively. She didn't want to upset a hero, plus, the others in the group. Also, Beast Boy was just so nice, she'd feel so bad if she had hurt his feelings. She then raised her hands and clapped slightly. "yay!" She said with a very soft giggle. It's fun being with Beast Boy. He's nice and if I screw up on saying something he doesn't take it the wrong way, not like most people would.
Kasumi stood there and waited for him to say something more. She didn't want to continuie on the subject and was surprised when he said nothing more. She looked at him and blinked. He isn't, going to say anything? Surprising.. Most people would've pushed on.. Well, I'm glad he didn't.. I don't want to leave this town.. Not again. If I keep getting shoved out of places I'll just have to end up leaving Earth. If that happened, I don't know where I'd return to. I can't return back to my home..
“You’ve never tried tofu before? Oh you just GOT to try it!! It’s the best most tastiest piece of non-meat thing in the history of non-meat things.”[/u]
Kasumi stared for a moment and jumped ever so slightly as he went and grabbed her arm, dragging her along. She ran beside him, since he began running. "Non-meat things? So you don't eat meat?" Well, that's a stupid question probably. After all, he can transform into the animals we eat.. I still didn't know that though.. I hope he won't be mad if I'm a meat eater.. Are all Titans vegetarians?
"Ohhh...you're just going to LOVE tofu."[/u]
"I'll take your word for that." Kasumi said as she smiled. She then smelled an unfamiliar food scent. It didn't smell like a vegetable or meat. Looking at a place, she saw a white substance in the display window. She then pointed to it. "Is that tofu?" She felt stupid for asking and not knowing what tofu was, but for some reason, with Beast Boy, she didn't care.

"Non-meat things? So you don't eat meat?"
Beast Boy shook his head in a silent ‘no’. “Ewwww…no way!!” he added, face scrunched-up with the idea of eating meat. “Not ever since I can turn into them.” It would always feel weird. He couldn’t describe it any better than “it feels like eating yourself”. Ewww...right? Even seeing dead meat throws a blanket of horrible emotions over him. It is almost like looking at your dead brother or sister or family—or something close like that. Not nice. If, however, his friends decide to have chicken for breakfast, he wouldn’t bark at them or anything. Just because he couldn’t enjoy meat didn’t mean they shouldn’t, therefore he somehow learned to live with it.
He stopped running when the two reached their destination. Kasumi seemed to have noticed too, pointing at the white substance and asking if it was tofu or not. Beast Boy nodded. “That’s tofu, alright. Doesn’t it look all squishy and soft?” It most definitely was soft. Squishy? Maybe not, but it sure looked like it. “Come on! Lets go in.” With that, the green changeling raced to the door and held it open for Kasumi to enter before doing so himself.
As he entered, he took a deep breath, allowing the smell of tofu to wash over him. There was no arguing with the fact that it was the best food for a vegetarian. But for a person who can eat meat? Well, more than likely, they’ll pass. All of the Titans did, anyways. The likely-hood of Kasumi liking the stuff isn’t too great, but he can pretend it’s not, right? Plus, if he told her that right now, she might choose not to even try it. Hoping he might finally find a tofu-loving buddy, Beast Boy went into deep thought, wondering as to what the most delicious tofu thing this place had was. “Lets see…what is the tastiest of the tastiest?” Then he got it. “Duhhhh!! The tofu raspberry cake! Wanna try it? It’s delicious.” He pointed to a white cake tinted with raspberry sauce, a couple of actual raspberries decorating it. All in all, it looked very mouthwatering.

“Ewwww…no way!!”[/u]
Beast Boy then made a face to go along with it that Kasumi coudn't help but laugh at. "I take it you really find it disgusting then? I can't really say I blame you, since you can turn into them.. How can you stand to watch your friends eat meat though? That probably isn't fun for you.." She asked, tilting her head at him. She didn't mean to pry, if she was, but she was curious. Of course, she wouldn't tell him that she had no where to stay and couldn't afford to buy any food so killed some wild animals or even domesticated animals in her wolf form in order to eat, that'd probably make it awkward, but for her, curiosity did indeed kill the cat.
They then stopped running and Beast Boy told her that the white substance she pointed at was tofu. Then asked her if it looked soft and squishy. "It.. Looks like a square to me.." Obviously, but she wasn't sure if it was soft or squishy.. It didn't look very appealing to her either, but she'd try it anyway. Beast Boy then ran to the door, saying let's go inside. When he reached the door, he opened it for her and she walked inside. "Thanks." She said, turning to him with a smile as she breathed in the scent of probably tofu, since she had never smelt it before.
Kasumi looked at him as she heard him inhale deeply. He then went into thought. Asking himself what was the tastiest here, he made a "duhh" sound and said the raspberry cake. "I've never had raspberries before.. Are they good? Sure I've eaten Strawberries, Blackberries, blueberries, but not raspberries.." She looked at the cake he pointed at and began to think about it. After a few minutes, she shrugged and smiled. "Sure! Bring on the cake!"

[OOC: Eeeek...super sorry for the late reply.]
“How can you stand to watch your friends eat meat though? That probably isn't fun for you.." [/u]
“Oh it’s definitely blah,” he answered with his tongue out, pretending to be sick. “But—I donno—I manage.” He gave a shrug, not knowing what else to say. “I suppose I just got used to it.” It wasn’t like he simply sat there watching either. He would normally try to end their meat-eating days with talks of tofu and how delicious it was, but all that would normally result to was more teasing. Cyborg especially didn’t look like one that would even take a bite off veggie food. So, after a while, Beast Boy gave-up. He’ll still blab none-sense about the awesomeness of tofu, but more as a joke than anything else.
"I've never had raspberries before.. Are they good? Sure I've eaten Strawberries, Blackberries, blueberries, but not raspberries.." [/i]
Beast Boy gasped. “Really?” How many times had he done that today? Probably lots. “Ooooo…then you just got to try it. Raspberries are these delicious sweet things that taste kind of like—“ Beast Boy paused here, scratching his head as he tried to think of a good adjective to use. “Kind of like—uhh—raspberries?” He shrugged, feeling stupidly lame, but that was probably the best word he could use. Raspberries tasted like raspberries and that was it. He opened his mouth, about to add something else, when Kasumi agreed to try the cake with a shrug and smile. A grin stretching his face, Beast Boy quickly raced off to the counter to order.
“Uhh…can we have a slice of the raspberry cake, please?” He asked the lady standing there, taking orders. The lady nodded, pressed some buttons at the cash register and answered with a, “that’ll be three ninety-nine.” “Three ninety-nine,” Beast Boy repeated. “No problem. Soooooo…do you have some money?” He asked Kasumi, his right hand rubbing his temple. He himself was pretty much broke. That and there were zero pockets on his jumpsuit so, even if he had some, he wouldn't have been able to carry it around.[/font]
